Obama is an extremist. McCain has adopted what amounts to a middle-of-the road, pedestrian platform on global warming.
I’m having a hard time figuring out how Obama is an extremist and McCain is not.
I consider the cap and trade thing to be extremist.

Whistler, I’m sorry but I’m calling you on this one. There was not 62% cited in the report by the authors. You decided it was a conclusion by adding “ a little bit more” meaning in your mind, the government should stay out.
That is so dishonest on your part. You know better. The report doesn’t say what you are claiming it’s authors are saying. Far from it.
You’re better than this Whistler, but you blew on this one. yuk!
Puzzlefeet - 08:05pm on 05/16/2008
38% said they should do a lot more.
The 62% constitute 23% who said we should do a BIT more, 21% that said we should do the same, 5% that say we should do a bit less, and 13% that said we should do a lot less.
Add those together....
The Whistler - 08:05pm on 05/16/2008
Whistler: Listen to yourself!!
38% say A LOT MORE, 23% say A LITTLE MORE. [61% do more]
5% say DO A LITTLE LESS, 13% say DO A LOT LESS. [18% do less]
And from that, you claim that the study says 62% say do nothing!!??
Now I have to agree with puzzlefeet. This is not good, Whistler.
That’s the worst scholarship I’ve ever seen. You know you’re now defending the indefensible.

I just noticed on the study on the entry right after the global warming one.
Preserving damage to the earth’s ozone layer
Why would you want to preserve any damage to the ozone layer? But 35% of the voters (probably McCain supporters) are in favor of it.
The Whistler - 08:05pm on 05/16/2008
Now you’re being silly…
pparets - 08:05pm on 05/16/2008
Let me highlight the post which you should have read:
62% of the people think we should do little or nothing more about the issue.
I love quoting me. Now I should have said a fair bit of those people actually would like to do less: 18%.
R E A D I N G I S A S K I L L Y O U S H O U L D H A V E !
Now to tell you the truth I think the issue is about 95% bullpoop but I can’t think of what we’re doing NOW that I would cut out. AND I think we should build nuclear power plants and research switch grass and clean coal.
The Whistler - 08:05pm on 05/16/2008

True, I would have said they were Dem Voters but you would have called me on it.

Whistler: Very disappointing stuff from a guy who is usually a class act. Good night.
