Great singer, funny and fun to watch as an actor. Sad end to his life though, alone with a bottle and the pain of losing his son for quite some time. He had it all and in the end it didn’t satisfy him, life got him down for the count.
His music will live a long time, I enjoy his music.

Makes you long for the original Ocean’s Eleven!

Fantastic. I wonder what happened to really solid actors? What do we have today, Brad Pitt, Leo DiCaprio? It seems like all the real men, if you know what I mean, have left Tinseltown for good.

the pain of losing his son
I remember when it happened. Dean Jr. died flying an Air National Guard jet...March 21, 1987

Most of those guys from the movies in the forties and fifties couldn’t get a leading role today. Not pretty enough!

Well, I’m a Dean Martin fan. For a long time now. And I’m younger than you, Whistler. Mr. Fuddy Duddy.

Rob’s always stealing my material.
I’ll bet that he doesn’t remember the Dean Martin TV show.

I used to love the Dean Martin show. That bit where he slid down the fireman’s pole in a tux with a martini in one hand and a cigarette in the other was priceless. Nobody could touch that today.
And as a sixteen year old I lusted mightily for the Golddiggers. Sigh.

Hey whistler pallie, thanks ever so much for the great Dinoslideshow. Now, no disrespect meant, but our Dino is the greatest singer, greatest comedian, and the greatest actor this world has ever known....never was never will be anyone as cool as the King of Cool. And, BTW, I have met many, many of today’s youth who have caught Dinofever....desirin’ to live the Dinolife and walk the Dinoway. Oh, to return to the days when Dino walked the earth!!!!
