Your reference to The Immaculate Reception is incorrect though. That’s the Steelers’ Franco Harris catch off a deflection and run for a TD to beat the Raiders in 1972.

In my defense, I’ll just say that here in New England, most football fans think of the Flutie pass (which happened well after the Harris catch) when you say “immaculate reception”. Doug being something of a local boy and all that.
