So much for free people and free choices.
Liberal Democrats have become progressively less inclined toward individual liberty and free choices over the past several years. Perhaps that’s how the misnomer “progressive” has managed to make such a comeback?

Somehow, Gore never seems to mention the business interest he has and the investments he has made in “green technology” companies. For God’s sake, he only squawks so that he can try to inflate his stock prices.

A point Algore will not mention, CO2 is plant food. Reduce the supply of plant food and what happens? And will Algore’s new laws actually focus on the #1 greenhouse “gas”, water vapor? Going to pass a law that stops all that evaporation? Hello!!! Al!!! Why won’t you allow the press to attend your little closed door “meetings”? What are you hiding? Why will you not debate real scientists? Hell, why do you block real scientists from speaking at any of your “events”?
I figure with the ego oozing out of Algore he may actually hear about what people are saying just before the burst into laughter, rolling on the ground point at him and heaping mounds of well deserved derision upon him.

Al is half correct. We must use the law to force global warming advocates to PROVE,with empirical evidence, man made global warming BEFORE we impose laws on the people.

The global warming scare has taken on the characteristics of fanaticism found in other radical beliefs past and present (Islam, Nazism, communism, etc.)

Al has been pissed at the citizens of the US since he was raked over the coals for claiming to have invented the internet.
Then, of course, losing to George really ticked him off, because he just can’t believe that “We the People” don’t love his fat ass. This thing with global warming is his way of paying us back for our lack of respect for his “wisdom”. He is in fact, simply a frustrated, and pathetic, demagogue. I expect him to stick his hand inside his shirt and wear a funny hat any day now.

I’m skeptical about anything that people try to use as scare tactics to get their way. This is a control issue; it’s not about making a better world. I would argue that picking up dog poo DOES create a better world immediately, and it’s as much about personal responsibility as planting a tree or switching a light bulb.
Another thought: most people I know are doing what they can to be environmentally responsible, but not many people I know can afford hybrid cars or solar panels. Changing laws to force them to do things differently isn’t going to change their ability to do things differently.
Rebel against the scare tactics. Keep breathing.
