O’Reilly was working with him and Congressman Peter King (I think?) on a new GI Bill. But on the last update O’Reilly seemed pissed that Kerry wouldn’t appear or provide a status on the bills progress.
I thought that was strange and perhaps a mistake, but now I know it was nothing but smoke.

Is THIS the John Kerry you were talking about? (From a 2004 Village Voice front page article by Sidney Schanberg)
Senator John Kerry, a decorated battle veteran, was courageous as a navy lieutenant in the Vietnam War. But he was not so courageous more than two decades later, when he covered up voluminous evidence that a significant number of live American prisoners—perhaps hundreds—were never acknowledged or returned after the war-ending treaty was signed in January 1973.
The Massachusetts senator, now seeking the presidency, carried out this subterfuge a little over a decade ago— shredding documents, suppressing testimony, and sanitizing the committee’s final report—when he was chairman of the Senate Select Committee on P.O.W./ M.I.A. Affairs.
It would seem that the Massachusetts Democrat has a great deal to answer for, especially to those whose loved ones were left behind.
Take care of our veterans, my ass!

I know this is politically inconvenient for you guys, but John Kerry has always supported bills for Veterans benefits. This is in sharp contrast with the current administration who continually wants to increase the fighting force but cut benefits for veterans.

lestupid, JFKerry has not ever supported veterans or the military. Not once in his entire political career. He has, in point of fact, been one of the primary sources of veterans problems, and has voted against military and veteranappropriations(except when it puts money in his pocket) repeatedly. So tell your lies to Jesus, the Chaplain went over the hill, and none of us are buying your anti-American bullshit.

That’s right! He voted for the troops before he voted against them!

Lestat. That is simply not true. I worked for the VA system. Their budget was increased significantly, more counselors were added. I saw it with my own eyes.
If you can, cite specifics where you stated:
This is in sharp contrast with the current administration who continually wants to increase the fighting force but cut benefits for veterans.
Maybe you can fudge with your word “wants” sounds like someone guessing what another person thinks or “feels” about something. We go with what other people do, not what they say they will do or how they feel about something. That is the stark contrast between democrats and republicans.

Considering the business deals that JohnKerry and his brother have with Vietnam, maybe he was refering about “their” servicemen.

It’s interesting that you bash Kerry for his service to the country in the Armed Forces while disparaging anyone who dares criticize John McCain just a few posts down, all while completely ignoring GWB and Dick Cheney’s complete lack of service, evasion of the draft, ignorance of Walter Reed, and long, family-breaking deployment times.
Also, I got banned for saying Rob wrote an arrogant post a week or so back (I’m assuming it was an IP ban - couldn’t put through a comment because it wasn’t allowed), but I’m guessing 2Hotel won’t get banned for saying Lestat is “lestupid” and anti-American. Isn’t blogging wonderful?
