Sounds like a great time. I need to do some of that more myself.

I’ll use my First Amendment rights to salute you using your Second! That sounds like a lot of fun. I wish the use of firearms wasn’t restricted as much as it is here, but it’s pretty crowded.

By the way 35 feet is LONG handgun distance. Hitting the target is a good thing.

Greg, if we don’t use these rights we’ll lose ‘em, right?
Whistler, get your guns and come over any time. We’ll head down to the cabin and blast away.

I was really happy with how I did. My dad (who was a cop for a couple of decades and is pretty good with handguns) was impressed. I figure that if I can impress an old hand like him I must be doing good.

One in a while you come along a gun that points for you naturally.

True,
Like I said in the post, I’m not sure I’ve ever felt more comfortable with a gun in my hand then I felt with that S&W.
On a side note, I had my little girl out with me today. I was showing her how to handle the guns safely. I’m excited for the day when I can put a little .22 in her hands and get her started as well.

Sounds good, Rob. Me and Boy shot .22s this afternoon. It is nice to just walk out on the front porch and start banging away.

Always thought at over 25 feet I could do more damage
throwing my Colt M1911 .45 than firing it.

I wish I could do that. I’d shoot every day if I could, but I live in town. Gotta get out of the neighborhoods to shoot, so we just go down to our lake cabin. Got a nice wide open area behind it with a hill as a backdrop.
