The European Union and the United Nations have sure taken Iran to task...

VIENNA (Reuters) - The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the U.N. nuclear watchdog, passed a resolution approving Iran's week-old suspension of sensitive nuclear activities as part of a deal with the European Union, a senior diplomat told Reuters.

Crucially, and in line with Iranian demands, the resolution described the freeze as a voluntary, confidence-building measure and not a legally binding commitment.

Its passage meant that Tehran, which denies seeking the bomb, had achieved its immediate objective of avoiding being hauled before the Security Council for possible sanctions.

Whoo boy. A confidence-building, non-legally-binding commitment. Now that's how you get the attention of a terror state currently engaged in building nuclear weapons.

Seriously, anybody else get the feeling that the folks in Tehran are high-fiving each other right now after simultaneously signing this bit of fluff and avoiding the security council?
