Kerry Upset About The Price Of Oil
Kerry is speaking out about Bush's "broken promises" on the price of oil.
This is very interesting, because about six months ago Kerry was accusing Bush of using his connections with Saudi Arabia to lower the price of oil right before the elections.
So, which is it Senator? Is President Bush hatching a plot to lower gas prices or is he breaking a promise to Americans to lower gas prices?
SPRING GREEN, Wis. - Democratic Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites) said Wednesday the $50 per barrel price of oil reflects a broken promise of President Bush that will hurt average Americans.
Bush said Iraqi oil "would pay for the war, but we know that those oil pipes are being blown up," Kerry said. "We know that $50 a barrel isn't as bad as it might get because analysts are now telling us that the price may go up to $60."
This is very interesting, because about six months ago Kerry was accusing Bush of using his connections with Saudi Arabia to lower the price of oil right before the elections.
"If ... it is true that gas supplies and prices in America are tied to the American election, tied to a secret White House deal, that is outrageous and unacceptable to the American people," Kerry said during a campaign stop in Florida. "If this sounds wrong to you, that's because it is fundamentally wrong."
So, which is it Senator? Is President Bush hatching a plot to lower gas prices or is he breaking a promise to Americans to lower gas prices?
