John Kerry: The Sexual Discrimination Candidate
Here's a direct quote from John Kerry posted on his campaign website, found via Instapundit:
He's going to put the government and legal system back on the side of women? In some ways, the government is already so overwhelmingly on the side of women its borderline discrimination.
John Kerry needs to talk to a father who's child was aborted by the mother over his protests. He needs to talk to a man in California who's fighting the state to try and prove that he isn't the father of a baby born by a woman he's never met. He needs to talk to some poor schlub who's been accused of rape by a woman who woke up the next morning and decided she didn't really want to have sex with him after all.
And what specific "actions" has the President performed in order to make women feel "less safe and less secure?" Kerry is free to make campaign promises about what he'll do to make things even more equal for women, but if he's going to accuse the President of making women "less safe and less secure" he'd better come up with some examples.
In case after case, President Bush's actions have made American women less safe and less secure - on the job and on the streets. As president, I will put American government and our legal system back on the side of women. I will stand up for their security, ensure their safety, support their rights, and guarantee their dignity. This nation can do no less.
