Is Rush Limbaugh The Right’s Michael Moore

This from Oliver Willis:

Anytime someone rolls out the lame "Michael Moore sat in the VIP box at the Democratic convention" nonsense, please respond with this: "George W. Bush, the president of the United States, invited drug addict, torture supporter, misogynist, racist, and all-around societal pariah Rush Limbaugh into the White House of the United States of America and proceeded to embrace him, so f*ck off."

The "proceeded to embrace him" remark seems a little juvenile (what's Willis got against man hugs?), but his comparison intrigued me.

Is Rush Limbaugh Michael Moore's equivalent on the right? I don't think so, but (not surprisingly) I like Rush and certainly don't think that any of his over-the-top comments touch some of the things Moore has said and done (the Minutemen comment jumps to mind). So I'm probably biased. I'd also point out that while I've enjoyed Rush when I've had the time to listen to him I don't get to listen regularly, so maybe I'm missing something.

I'm interested in hearing some other perspectives on this one.
