That’s the next step after they get us hooked on wind-killing wind power.  They’ll take it away.

What I’ve read suggests trees and telephone poles kill more birds than wind mills.  (Birds run into trees and poles because, well, they are stupid.)  Since bird droppings can kill trees, there’s a parity there at least.

If you want to worry about the effect of the human population on birds, start by address loss of habitat, then predation on the bird population from feral cats.  Down there in the noise, probably not event at ecologically relevant numbers, lies the effect of windmills on birds.

Wait a minute Carrick.  Are you trying to make us believe that environmental nuts are going to start paying attention to reality?

Of course not.

You know that Kucinich is an environmentalist right?

All you need to know about that group.

Funny thing is I never hear of animal worshipers buying habitat ... just bitching about the loss of it. Of course, in “liberaleese” talking about a perceived problem is all that matters.

Bleck.  That’s bogus science.

It’s right up there with the meme that transmission lines causes people to be ill.

People are always looking for reasons they don’t feel well.  They look to their external environment first, when the main reason people don’t feel well is they don’t eat right (I include the AMA recommended diet along with most vegan diets as “not eating right”) and they don’t give themselves permission to do things that reduce pent-up stress.
