I understand why meth, crack, and other hard drugs are illegal. They do put you into a different state of mind in which you have little control over. They are also highly addictive and can lead to overdose.

So why is marijuana in the same category? Why is it illegal? Does anyone have an honest answer that can stand up to serious debate? One that isn’t reliant on the root fact that it is illegal.
