This should be a big deal.  If I remember correctly, people are guessing that about 2% of the adult population, and about 2% of Catholic priests, have done something that qualifies as some sort of child sexual abuse.  That could be anything from touching the inner thigh to full out sodomy or intercourse.

If we note that 21 people were CAUGHT this year alone, we arrive at about the same rate of people getting caught as the population at large has committing the crime.  There is at least some indication that if this is (as is usual) the tip of the iceberg, that the LAUSD is (pardon the pun) a hotbed of child sexual abuse.

I dare suggest that background checks aren’t enough--maybe it’s time to bring back a one room schoolhouse with team teaching or something.

I well remember sitting during a meeting of the ND House education committee meeting re a possible homeschool bill and listening to someone from DPI state that they had concerns about the “safety of homeschoolers”. Give me a break.. Not that every single home ed situation is 100% perfect but this is beyond ridiculous....

Essentially that is what you get when you home school.  And this is just one more reason to home school your children.

They would have closed down the schools if they were Mormons!  Their teacher’s unions will protect them.  Watch.  No one will be fired.  They will undergo sensitivity training!  God is not allowed in schools in California.
