Would Obama Give Tom Brokaw A Cabinet Position?

It certainly appears as though Brokaw was on Obama’s short list for Vice President.  Could he maybe be on the short list for a cabinet position?  Maybe Press Secretary?

In a Friday night appearance on the PBS show Charlie Rose, it was revealed that the Democratic ticket could have been Obama-Brokaw. Rose reported: “I think it was Caroline Kennedy who said that when they have the short [running mate] list for Barack Obama, there was a name down there somewhere?” Tom Brokaw replied: “My name was on it.” Rose pestered Brokaw to go into public service after his latest NBC stint ends: “There comes a time, you are reminding me of a conceited anchorman who once said to raise your right hand to enlist.” Brokaw didn’t utterly reject the idea of serving a new administration: “I understand the need to step up from time to time, and if the right opportunity came along, I would certainly be willing to take a good, hard look at that.”

Brokaw and Obama?  For the most superficial, air headed Presidential ticket of all time?

Now that would have been a spectacle.

How could you get more “air-headed” than the current choice of Joe Biden??  God forbid that anything happen to Obama if he is elected.  Is it just me or do others out there see a Democrat Party and our Congress filled with air heads?

According to Brokaw when he was on the Charlie Rose show the other night, he was already offered a cabinet position but he refused it.

The battle for freedom must be won over and over again.

Without republicans to kick around, just what is Brokaw and the msm going to do now? Looks like things will get pretty boring in the newsrooms now.

How will they know if Brokaw is still alive? Will Obama be required to walk around carrying a hand mirror to put under Tom’s nose when he has been still too long? He is awfully perky and lively, ya know.

Brokaw worked hard to get Obama elected. He deserves something for his efforts.

Now, that would be reaching across the aisle.  Brokaw was ridiculously partisan in favaor of McCain, when not simply ridiculous.
