Words To Remember President Ford By

As the nation mourns a fallen President, let us reflect on some words of wisdom Gerald Ford left us with:

A government that is big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have.

I didn’t agree with all of Ford’s policies, but he nailed it on that statement.

If only more Americans would see the wisdom of it today.

Even better .....

The three martini lunch is the epitome of American efficiency .... Where else can one get an earful, a bellyfull and a snoot full all at the same time.

Seriously - Ford was a good man (if not a true conservative).  His administration did bring Rummsfeld and Cheney into the executive branch (good) and Stevens to the highest court in the land. (bad)

He presided over tumultuous times in a manner that was honorable and (till now) has never received the respect he deserved.

Congress is the only whorehouse in history to consistently lose money!
