Women Rally In Protest Over The Abduction Of An American Aid Worker

So, is NOW and their ilk finally waking up to the fact that women are treated like animals at the hands of Islamists?

Nope.

These aren’t American women, who could sit in the comfort and safety of their homes and offices and protest about these things. These are Afghani women, who risk reprisals of the vilest kind from their masters:

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan—About 500 Afghan women gathered in a rare mass protest Tuesday against the kidnapping of a female American aid worker. The women, many wearing burqas, called on officials to find the captive American and urged the kidnappers to release her.

Curious, isn’t it, that women who risk everything - and I mean everything - for speaking out against this would still have the courage to do so while our so-called “feminists” are content to whine about election endorsements that don’t go their way.

Way to go, NOW. Put out another press release about the evils of the American male.

That’ll show ‘em.

NOW is an advocacy organization for American women.  They do not take up international issues.  That does not make them hypocrites, it is just not their issue.

Oh, I see, Hawk.....

Wouldn’t want them to step outside their comfort zone now, would we?

Yeah, come to think of it, I must have missed them howling about the recent horrid honor killings of those two beautiful teens by their Islamic father. In America.

Is that all you have in defense of this hopelessly self-centered, narcissistic, ego driven martyrs club?

They have an agenda and they focus on it because that is the best way to get it accomplished.  They also publish that agenda so that it is known.

Your idea that you can’t advocate for anything unless you advocate for everything is nonsense.

I was under the apparent misconception that their agenda was to fight for womens’ justice.

Yes..I think… Yes, I believe I read that somewhere, Hawk. I think it was their CHARTER.

Of course, as Pilgrim points out, their concern for that young Dallas girl didn’t really matter.

They were to involved with important issues like: ensuring Wal-Mart has emergency contraception and insuring low-income women have access to birth control.

Stopping Violence Against Women

Hawk, does your liberal inclinations stop you from thinking?
