With New Ad McCain Looks To Drive Wedge Into Democrat Party
In his new ad, McCain says Obama snubbed Hillary because she “told the truth.”
“The truth hurts, and Obama doesn’t like it.”
A pretty powerful ad, especially when one considers just how divided the Democrat party is these days. For all the hype surrounding his campaign, it’s worth noting that Obama just eked out the nomination (and might not have got it at all if the primary votes in Michigan and Florida had been counted) and even coming into the convention the Obama campaign had to engage in some deal making with the Clintons to soothe things over.
Obama is at the head of a fragile coalition, and McCain is moderate enough (to the chagrin of his conservative base) to peel a lot of voters away from it.
