Why Is Israel Always Shown As The Aggressor?

I’m seeing story after story about the renewed conflict in the middle east involving Israel. I see headlines like “Israeli Gaza strike kills more than 200.” Those headlines, and the way the media in general has covered this story, makes it sound like Israel gave its enemies a holiday present by launching an unprovoked attack and killing hundreds.
And yet, the truth is that Israel was under attack from Hamas for days before responding. Hamas was firing rocket after rocket at Israeli targets, and yet there was no widespread reporting of Hamas’ truly unprovoked attack. No pictures of the people killed, the damage done, by Hamas’ attack.
The double standard is disgusting.

Conservatives don’t even consider backing an underdog or finding out the root of a conflict, they simply assess who is the more powerful entity and support them without question.

    – Noted LIBERAL fucktard, Dino

“If somebody was sending rockets into my house, where my two daughters sleep at night, I’m going to do everything in my power to stop that,” he told reporters in Sderot, a small city on the edge of Gaza that has been hit repeatedly by rocket fire. “And I would expect Israelis to do the same thing.”

    Noted conservative – Barack Obama

Dino, I’d be laughing at you if you weren’t so friggin’ pathetic. That’s from today’s Liberal bible, the New York Times.

So Obama, the Messiah/unicorn pilot assessed who is the more powerful entity and supported them without question?

Conservatives don’t even consider backing an underdog or finding out the root of a conflict, they simply assess who is the more powerful entity and support them without question.

Another thing I find interesting about this quote is what it reveals about Dino and liberals in general. Liberals actually beleive that the only reason conservatives support Israel is because they are “the more powerful entity.” In other words, the Palestinians and organizations like Hamas are nothing more than victims. Its this victim mentality that rings throughout the entire liberal mindset. Bums are “victims”, terrorists are “victims”, and it goes on and on. If you treat people like victims and they will act like victims. Victims don’t have to take responsibility for their own actions and thats why they aren’t being condemned by the liberal media…

Hell, I been of the “nuke it from orbit, its the only way to be sure” camp for many a year. UN had no right to return Israel to the map. God cast the Jews out of it and that was the end of it. Till a bunch of leftards riddled with guilt over letting Hitler and his ilk murder Jews for so long decided to reverse that state of affairs. And then promptly moved on to removing God from our society. Go figure.

The Israelis are entitled to defend themselves from those who openly or not so openly call for their annihilation. Day in and day out, for decades, the Israelis and Jews are bombarded with vicious and vile hate from the Arab world. Day in and day out, Israel is promised destruction, violations of the most heinous kind and ‘rivers of blood.’ We are told that thousands of volunteers are ready to answer a religious call and bring mayhem, violence and death to the Israelis.

dino, when you come to the defense of tyrannical regimes and their leaders, then you have made a conscious choice to defend and stand by what is immoral. The broken and dysfunctional culture of the Palestinians, racism, hate and an agenda of genocide is restorative to the Arab mindset.

Afghanistan’s historic presidential election began Saturday, with people across this ethnically diverse land casting the first ballots in an improbable experiment with democracy, and under a Taliban threat of ruinous violence.

After 25 years of near-constant war, voters descended on bombed-out schools, blue-domed mosques and bullet-pocked hospitals to choose their leader for the first time as more than 100,000 soldiers, police, U.S. troops and other security forces were deployed to thwart attacks.

Bullwinkle-stem, I was putting together a reply to you and was given a trojan virus from this or one other blog today. Can’t be playing on the net at work anymore. You cons have blogs that are as diseased as your minds.

There was no conflict within Iraq. I know how you like to THINK you were staving off the big bad Saddam vs the poor, downtrodden people (of whom the US ended up killing or destroying the lives of tens of thousands) but in reality it was America (very powerful) against Iraq (not powerful after 10 years of starvation and disease caused by US sanctions).

See, the US doesn’t like to fight anyone who IS powerful otherwise they lose like Vietnam. They prefer weak adversaries like Grenada, Panama or the aforementioned weakened Iraq. but even then, the US loses! LOL So much for trillions spent on the military!

Besides, the US didn’t invade Iraq for any noble cause. You only adopted that rationale when the WMDs proved to be a LIE. Sad, really, that such a once great nation has resorted to picking on the weak in an attempt to inflate its flagging, limp dick of a national ego.

But what else can we expect after 30 years of “conservative revolution.” A sad, failed, cesspool country on the decline.

2Hotel9: With respcet, from my reading of Scripture God said about Israel that: 1. they would return from the diaspora and become a nation once again, it is one of the signs of the Last Days. 2. He also said His promisae to Israel of that entire promised land for the Jews was an everlasting promise, He would restore them fully. 3. He calls Israel His Chosen people, the apple of His eye and promises that any nation or people opposing Israel or trying to divide that land He would judge and punish harshly. 4. Nonetheless, His time of punishing Israel is not over and they will soon be completely overrun by Arab forces allied with a northern nuclear power, almost annihilating Israel, seeming to defeat the Jews for all time; but He promised that at the last minute He would step in and destroy all Israel’s enemies.

So, I believe the UN return of the land to the Jews was prophetic, the world’s hatred of Israel is prophetic and the world will suffer for how they have treated His Chosen people.

  • JazzyKat

    DINO

Just an observation. One I’ve been tracking for years. Conservatives don’t even consider backing an underdog or finding out the root of a conflict, they simply assess who is the more powerful entity and support them without question.

Well Dino dear, if you had read my first post on your reader’s blog: A lesson in Conservative Mythology, you would have a better understanding of the root of the conflict. The world can’t understand why tiny little ole Israel is such a huge problem that no one can seem to solve. Common sense would say, the Arabs and Muslims inhabit a huge land mass made up of many nations completely surrounding that tiny sliver of land called Israel, so they’re not exactly the underdog! But of course having all the land is not enough…they want that tiny little sliver of land too and they want the Jews driven into the sea! Jerusalem has become a burdensome stone to all nations and every President vows to find a solution and bring peace to the Middle East, but none can.

The Palestinians are rejects of every Arab nation, refugees if you will, and they are only a tool to force Israel to give back the land they won in the 1967 & 1973 wars, of which Israel should not have won, by any stretch of imagination. All odds were against them, but they won and took back the land that belong to their forefathers. Track those two wars if you want to do some tracking…it’s really amazing how Israel, who was really the underdog, won!

So what is the root of the conflict???:

This Islamic war is a spiritual struggle between the legitimate descendants of Abraham and his son Isaac, who was blessed by God, (who’s descendants include the Judeo-Christian people around the world and the Jews) and the descendants of Ishmael (Sunni & Shiite Muslims), Abraham’s cursed and rejected seed. While Sunni’s and Shiite’s have always fought among themselves for power, (Iran/Iraq war is one example) they join together in their deep rooted hatred for Israel and the infidels who do not bow to Allah, thus we have the radical Islamic extremists. The root is spiritual, so the political powers that seek peace in the Middle East, will never obtain it, because they are seeking to broker peace by natural means.

While both the radical Shiite Muslims (like Iran’s President Ahmadinejad) and Sunni Muslims hate the Jews and Christians, the hatred runs deeper with the Shiite’s because they plan to rule the world with their Mahdi (the 12th Imam – their Messiah) once he appears and they must destroy Israel and all the infidels to prepare the way for his coming! Amazingly, Iran’s president believes he has been chosen by Allah to bring about a global Armageddon in order for the 12th Imam to appear! That’s also why terrorism is global. If you don’t bow to Allah, you are an infidel, even if you’re not a Christian, so all of you atheists and agnostics are not exempt from the wrath of Islamic extremists, unless you convert to Islam.

All of this was fore-ordained and the end of it is foretold in Scripture! So all of you anti-warriors, buckle your seat-belt, it’s just begun! Of course, Israel will win, because that is foretold in Scripture as well! But that’s another long subject for another day! :)

    Bullw–

Back on topic, although I don’t profess to have extensive knowledge of the region, I understand we had allied ourselves with the Kurds, who had suffered under Saddam’s genocidal Anfal, or chemical weapons campaign to wipe them out.

This gave rise to further complications because the Kurds as a people exist in Turkey, Iraq, and Iran.

Evidently it was a passing marriage of convenience since, as soon as the threat of Saddam’s national army was eliminated, our Nato Allies, Turkey crossed the border into Iraq and attacked out Iraq-war allies the Kurds, while we stood by and did nothing.

I certainly hope there is more to it than that, because any Special Forces trooper realizes that if he gets parachuted behind enemy lines to start up a guerilla movement, it’s more likely that his head will end up on a stake, since the word has gotten around that Americans’ support blows hot and cold.

Ask any survivors from our erstwhile allies in UNITA or Hmong or Brigade 2506.

There are countless stories of American treachery in this regard, but the treachery doesn’t come from our military. Those SF-types are dedicated and know their stuff. Given the chance they will press the attack — but it has consistently the likes of Teddy Kennedy that have pulled the rugs out from underneath those needing American support and feeding them to the Communist wolves.

The Soviets and Chi-Coms didn’t win their victories on the battlefield during the Cold War. Victory was handed to them by the Leftist MSM and their operatives in the Democratic party.

They are traitors to free people the world over.

And I hope that I am wrong when it comes to how we have abandoned the Kurds, who helped us secure a vital part of Iraq.

even if there is some unfairness to the way Israel came into being,

I believe that is historically incorrect, the Jews were only recognized as having a right to a land they possessed for millennia and even when an Arab people were there for decades before, there were always Jews on that land. There is no fair minded jury in the world that, based on the evidence would grant one square inch of land to a people (so-called Palestinians) that have absolutely no claim on that land whatsoever and did not even claim either the land or the name Palestine or Palestinian until years after the UN mandate!

Genesis 12: 3 “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

While many here are atheists or agnostics, I take this warning seriously:

“For behold in those days, and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem [Return from the Diaspora], I will also gather all nations [there], and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgement with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land.” (Joel 3:1-2)

For scattering the Jews throughout the world, for their long sufferings at the hands on non-Jews and for dividing Israel, by the UN and now by attempts at further partition in the name of peace and for a people with no claim to that land, He will judge and punish the world!

Not that I have any sympathy for the Arabs. Based on my personal observations, they have all the ethics of hyena, are brutal to the weak and cowardly against the strong.

But a good starting point (however arbitrary as that may seem, for a conflict that dates back to that Abraham + Hagar -> Ishmael and, Abraham + Sarah -> Isaac thing) is after 1918, when the Brits ended up with the Mandate (a form of stewardship) over the Palestine they inherited after the defeat of the Ottoman Empire.

In a nutshell Jews were allowed to emigrate into Palestine, as long as they weren’t disruptive. Kinda like ethnic Albanians in Kosovo, or Americans into Tejas (and now Mexicans into Texas) they did become disruptive.

Organizations like the Irgun and Haganah fought the Brits, to include blowing up their King David hotel, and later fought everyone else. Only the impassioned pleas of an old Jewish friend of Harry Truman tilted him in favor of recognizing Israel, rather than condemning them as a radical insurgency.

After that the die was cast. America has served as Israel’s Golem since that time.

All this being said, it’s hard to find an innocent party in that entire Middle Eastern thing. I would prefer to develop our own alternate form of energy, wall the place off and wash our hands of the Middle East as did Pontius Pilate.

But we cannot, and we are now joined in battle with the visceral hatred coming out of refugee camps, the caves of Tora Bora and the dusty hills of Swat, materializing here in the West in the form of exploding buses in England, slaughtered children in Beslan, tourists in Mumbai, bombs in train stations in Spain, and commandeered aircraft into the World Trade Center in New York, and so on.

I will grudgingly agree that we are on the right side, if a side of the two factions must be chosen, but I would much rather have adopted the Crusader point of view, which was to urge Malecide — the extermination of Evil — to keep Christianity safe and avenge atrocities that Islams’ followers are urged to commit against we
    Kafir — the non-believers.

    Dino:

Who in Iraq was more powerful than Saddam?

Tell us you moron, we really want to hear some more of your lies.

Just in case you missed it you lying piece of shit…

  • DINO

    Dear Greg,

What do asses have to do with this?

    {A hat tip to Proof for the spelling/grammar pickiness!}

We went there to find those WMDs, remember?

The habit of conservatives to support power is just another indication of why “freeing the Iraqi people” was never taken seriously by many as the reason for our invasion.

Dino(Dinah) I wonder how long you would put up with being attacked before you retaliated. ooops, sorry, you’d probably like it. Never mind.
You still haven’t changed your tampon.

If you’ve been following Dino’s(Dinah) comments over the past few days, you’ve seen him reveal himself. He’s shown us that he believes manipulated data over actual events. He’s shown us he’s anti-American, he’s admitted to being an admirer of Hugo Chavez and other enemies of the United States, and now has shown us that he is anti-semitic, anti-Israel and is pro Haamas. He sure is a revealing guy(swish)and I for one appreciate is openess in showing ALL of us his true colors.
But, I sure wish he’d change his tampon already….that smell travels over the web.

You have to forgive Dino(Dinah) He’s been poked in the ass so many times it’s caused brain damage. He knows not of what he speaks.

At this point in the game, how and why Israel came into existence is moot. It exists, and given the tiny sliver of land it takes up in the middle east in general the complaints about kicking the Jews off Allah’s land ring a little hollow.

Israel is the only liberal democracy in the middle east. We have to stand behind them. And even if there is some unfairness to the way Israel came into being, that doesn’t excuse blaming the Jews for conflicts that Hamas started.

Conservatives don’t even consider backing an underdog or finding out the root of a conflict, they simply assess who is the more powerful entity and support them without question.

Right. Which is exactly why conservatives chose to champion the downtrodden masses in Iraq over Saddam Hussein.
