Why I Hate John McCain

Because he’s a pandering appeaser who would rather make a choice based on how it will effect approval polls rather then how it will effect this country.
Case in point Straight Talk” McCain can’t be straight with the American people on this divisive issue a lot of them do care about is telling.
If elected President, I am convinced that McCain would govern by public opinion poll, and that wouldn’t be a good thing for the country.

Didn’t you mean to say, “I’m sick of dried up old white men telling us what to do?” Where’s yo baby daddy?

  • http://SayAnythingBlog.com The_Whistler_ofnd

Sparkie, which ego would be on top?

  • 2Hotel9

Lucero1946, you are absolutely right!!! Barack Hussein Obama gets into office and the entire human race is going to be fucked. I’m glad a leftarded moron like you can figure that out. Fucking idiot.

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

lucero (not to be confused with lucid which the author is anything but!) intimates that John McCain is a “warmonger”. Certainly anyone who has heard him speak would disagree. (Another reason for lucero to pull its head out of its backside!)

We do share a secret, but it is not a romantic remembrance of war. War is awful. When nations seek to resolve their differences by force of arms, a million tragedies ensue. Nothing, not the valor with which it is fought nor the nobility of the cause it serves, can glorify war. War is wretched beyond description. Whatever gains are secured by war, it is loss that the veteran remembers. Only a fool or a fraud sentimentalizes the cruel and merciless reality of war.

Neither do we share a nostalgia for the exhilaration of combat. That exhilaration, after all, is really the sensation of choking back fear. I think we are all proud to have once overcome the paralysis of terror. But few of us are so removed from the memory of that terror to mistake it today for a welcome thrill.

What we share is something harder to explain. It is in part a pride for having sacrificed together for a cause greater than our individual pursuits; pride for having your courage and honor tested and affirmed in a fearsome moment of history; pride for having replaced comfort and security with misery and deprivation and not been broken by the experience.

We also share — and this is harder to explain — the survivors’ humility. That’s a provocative statement, I know, and the non-veteran may easily mistake its meaning. I am not talking about shame. I know of no shame in surviving combat. But every combat veteran remembers those comrades whose sacrifice was eternal. Their loss taught us everything about tragedy and everything about duty.

We are ALL prisoners of war.
We were not “all” physically held captive.
We are ALL being “financially” held captive by the past republicans and present John McCain to feed their greedy pockets.

I along with MANY friends were financially crippled in the 80′s when John McCain was “part of the KEATING 5″.
    The savings and loan debacle.
He still has HIS pockets full of money while Texas had hundreds and hundreds of people who lost everything. Huuuuum.

Today McCain has all of these “words of wisdoom” (doom) on the “economy.
Just weeks ago he stated he knew “nothing” about the economy. Which is it? – it is ” whatever we will buy from his “rabbit in the hat” speeches.

The cheer leader Palin is running the clock to AVOID a debate.
Why won’t her hubby poo talk? Gee…………
She must be reading and studying her answers day and night.
She is not even CLOSE to qualified for V.P.

McCain is showing signs of anger and already wearing down in my eyes. He needs to give us “solutions”. He can not.

all you writers will line up and sing his praises.

You’re not all wrong. I’ll vote for McCain and tell you why I think he’s not as bad as Hillary/Edwards/KerryFairy/Gore/Dean et al.

I will not sing his praises.

  • lucero1946

McQuaker oats is insane and a warmonger. He will promise everything and deliver nothing.
Notice the speakers who spoke Tuesday night, all old white men. All of them Chicken hawks and willing to send your children to war to save corporate america and protect the special interest groups. And to all those Evangelical and holy people, JESUS was liberal and not a conservative nor Republican.

  • Jackson

    I LOVE JOHN MCCAIN!

  • http://SayAnythingBlog.com The_Whistler_ofnd

Let’s just say that I do in fact pass the constitutional requirments to be elected President.

Not that anyone besides my mom would vote for me.

I think Mom would vote for me….?

  • http://SayAnythingBlog.com The_Whistler_ofnd

Republicans who want to be President move to the right as conservative voters have power in the primaries.

The wacko lefties create even more of a shift in the primaries vs the general election.

  • lucero1946

Remember we live in America and freedom of expression is a constitutional right. its obvious that your head has been there. He who shows the path has walked it. McInsane is insane. But I.Q is not the problem on understanding McSlimes situation. He has never attained his Father and Grandfathers greatness. So he is willing to put himself first than country and drive this country to “Hell” and become “Commander in Chief”. When you start living out of a cardboardbox and eating leftovers from dogs maybe people will see through the veil of deception, greed, vanity, and arrogance.

  • Dave_Comet

What is a “Civil Union”? If everyone gives the exact same definition, I’ll eat my shoe.

  • Bat One

I do however like Gulliani… I am not in complete agreement with him on everything. BUT he knows his own mind and isn’t afraid to say it.

    Zsa Zsa,

I hope you don’t think I’m picking on you, ’cause I’m not. But what you say here about Rudy could just as easily be said of Nancy Pelosi, Charlie Rangel or even Ned Lamont.

  • http://www.freerepublicans.com/ freerepublicans.com

That’s what the Exploratory Committee is for – exploring the positions he will have at any given moment.

  • Lucero1946

You think Cheney is Scary? God forbit McMonger wins. We will have another war and maybe all you “Chicken Hawks” will be drafted to go fight for the Corporations and for the Rich. Don’t believe me! Then look at all the deferments that Bush, Cheney, and Runsfeld had.

  • http://magyartruth.blogspot.com/ Chief RZ

1946. There is no draft, and we do not need one, thank you very much.
We do not need to be attacked by Iran nor have 400+ hostages held for years either. We like our freedoms and want reciprocal respect. You?

What? Captain Bush served his 6 years in the Air National Guard just like my father in WW II, and just like I did, but I stayed in another 30 years and did get into the war, finally, and would do it again.

  • lucero1946

Paranoia hits the screen. Its the old scare tactic. More than 70 percent of the people don’t believe the sky is falling. They do believe that slowly we will all become poor and i do mean poor. Have you checked your 401K? Good luck. Its amazing how some people’s I.Q. is lower than their space between their eyes. In any manner you will realize we are in trouble when you start living from cardboard boxes and eating leftovers from marauding dogs. Good Luck!

  • http://www.willisms.com/ Zsa Zsa

McCain is not the man of my choice. I do however like Gulliani… I am not in complete agreement with him on everything. BUT he knows his own mind and isn’t afraid to say it. McCain is from my beautiful beloved State Arizona and sad to say it is becoming a liberal State.

  • One Eyed Jack

There is a old saying around my home range that warns us to not muddy the water cuz we may soon be drinking it.

Rob has some good points even without mentioning the Keating 5 scandal, but if McCain becomes the nominee in 08 ( how old?), all you writers will line up and sing his praises…so don’t muddy the water too much.

  • http://ndgoon.blogspot.com/ goon

I think McCain would beat the ice queen. However I don’t think it would make much difference in how fast the new President ran the country downhill.

I don’t doubt, the republican must have someone better than what we are throwing out right now, I would rather have Palenty, Colmen someone of that ilk. I am sick of these Burned out old men running the country. Its the same old tired faces. I respect John McCain because of his serivce but I felt he was a much weaker candidate than Bush and I still think McCain is. Gulliani is a Liberal Republican that has a ton of baggage. The GOP needs some new blood like a up and coming star like Barrack Obama only with some substance.

  • http://ndgoon.blogspot.com/ goon

The wacko lefties create even more of a shift in the primaries vs the general election.

We will see how far to the left Billary shifts after the election if she gets the nomination. Hillary has been trying to fool people into believing she is a moderate or a conservative democrat because she knows a liberal senator for the east coast can not win in the south.

  • http://ndgoon.blogspot.com/ goon

Actually I would like to see a real republican run for office. However, there seems to be none around anymore. As far as I am concerned. GOP supported candidates should be pro-life, pro-gun, anti-liberal, for smaller government, tax cuts. I am not so sure what is so confusing about that. Lincoln Chafee, Olympia Snow, Gulliani, and Christi Todd Whitman are not republicans, I am sick of them trying to say that they are. They are better off leaving the party and becoming dems.

  • http://www.willisms.com/ Zsa Zsa

goon, I am with you on that. It would actually be nice to see a young Republican without the baggage come in and shake things up. IF rob would run for office I would vote for him. There is another Rob at File It Under who would be an awesome candidate too. They are my true choices. BUT they won’t take me seriously…

  • Pilgrim

Rob hit the nail on the head:

Because he’s a pandering appeaser who would rather make a choice based on how it will effect approval polls rather then how it will effect this country.

I don’t trust the Manchurian Candidate one single inch. I’ve said it before in one of my rants…if he gets the nomination get used to the phrase “President Hillay Clinton”

  • 2Hotel9

McCain is no more a Republican than Arlen Sphyncter or Lincolon Chaffee. And God forbid Mitt”every citizen should pay $2000 per month for health insurance” Romney get the nomination. Jeebus, what a fucking choice.

  • http://www.willisms.com/ Zsa Zsa

I don’t know how old the Robs are…?

  • http://www.willisms.com/ Zsa Zsa

Thanks Dave, I have always thought I should be the Commish of baseball… I have to say that Gulliani is not any where near Pelosi or the rest of the way out and off the wall left. Bat One, Do you really think RG is like them?

  • Dave_Comet

I do however like Gulliani… I am not in complete agreement with him on everything. BUT he knows his own mind and isn’t afraid to say it.

Reminds me of the comments I hear from baseball managers and announcers, when asked to justify giving playing time or a stupid contract to a bad player (the fellation of David Eckstein after the World Series, for example):

“He may not put up good numbers, but he’s gritty, an old-fashioned guy who plays the game the right way, always hustling and giving 110%.”

“But his life-time OBP is .297…”

    “GRITTY!!!!!”
