Why Democrats Love Foley

Democrats love the Foley scandal. But aside from the simple fact that it’s a nasty scandal that makes Republicans look bad, they’re also loving it because of the idea expressed by this headline:

image

The Foley scandal came at the perfect time for Democrats. The meat of the matter is that Foley changed the subject of the national debate. We were focused on the war on terror and national security, now we’re focused on Foley. The fact that the Foley situation is an ugly sex scandal for Republicans is just gravy for the Democrats. They’re just happy to be talking about something else besides fighting terrorists, especially given that while the national debate was focused on the war on terror approval numbers for Republicans and the President were on their way up.
The Foley scandal is embarrassing for Republicans, but in the grander scheme of things which party do we want in power? The party that wants to have a national debate about national security or the party that would rather change the subject?

The Foley scandal came at the perfect time for Democrats.” He Says!

What, you think it was a coincidence?

(no, a coincidence is that my captcha image reads “wanted17″ right now. That could have been Foleys IM handle :P )

Here come the childish insults right on cue!

As for substantive debate on the facts I presented…well, forgive me if I don’t hold my breath, kids.

  • Puzzlefeet

R108, what a liar you are tonight. You lie buecasue you just can’t stand it that the Rs are in trouble for something they did all on their own and you continue to be the apologist for the republicans. Just keep up the lying. No one believes it anyway. We’ve seen great leadership this week with Rs cutting deals behind the scenes to save Hastert and try to stop the hemorraging and fighting within the republican party. They dems didn’t have to do anything. Y’all did this on your own.

    Oh what a tangled web…..

  • robert108

Don: Except for the fact that every one of your claims is a lie, you might have something there. The Republicans should be glad for Foley; is that what you believe?

  • 2Hotel9

Still waiting for those facts, donnie.

  • http://www.captainnormal.org/ Don Myers

    bobby:

Simply saying “nuh uh…is not” is not an adult argument. Try again.

    2:

Lots of straw man bullshit, but not a single substantive argument. In other words, just what I expected.

  • http://www.captainnormal.org/ Don Myers

That sword cuts both ways—the Foley scandal also distracts from:

** the GOP failure to bring al Qaeda to justice,

** the fact that global terrorism has gone UP every year the Bush regime has been in office,

    ** the massive GOP deficit,

** the resurgence of the Taliban after the Bush regime cut and ran from Afghanistan,

** and Rumsfeld’s total incompetence in Iraq.

Y’all should be grateful that one of your guys likes to simulate sex with teenage boys.

    Don
Please prove that John Smith was not abducted by aliens and taken on a whirlwind tour of the universe after which he was released back to his North Dakota farm.

  • robert108

** the GOP failure to bring al Qaeda to justice,

Thanks to our President, a very large number of Al Qaeda have been killed or captured, along with the head of AQ in Iraq, Zarqawi. Lie #1

** the fact that global terrorism has gone UP every year the Bush regime has been in office,

    A duly-elected majority is not a “regime”. Lie #2
We have had so terrorist attacks on our own soil for five years, due to our President fighting terrorists instead of ignoring them, like Clinton did. We have far less terrorism in the US, which is what counts. Lie #3

    ** the massive GOP deficit,

As a percentage of GDP, the deficit is less than most Dem Admins; the “surplus” claimed by Clinton was also a lie, in that it was a ten year projection that didn’t factor in the war on terrorism, since Clinton wanted to hunker down and pretend it doesn’t exist. The deficit is also decreasing right now, because of our President’s economic policies. Lie #4

** the resurgence of the Taliban after the Bush regime cut and ran from Afghanistan,

The Pentagon has the real figures, and they disagree with leftie hopes. Lie #5

** and Rumsfeld’s total incompetence in Iraq.

While every human(except you, in your own mind) makes mistakes, Rumsfeld’s handling of Iraq has been quite successful, for a variety of reasons. In any case, your assertion of “total incompetence” is a lie; we deposed Saddam in a very short time, for one thing. Lie #6

Y’all should be grateful that one of your guys likes to simulate sex with teenage boys.

I’m sure he’s not the only one, including Barney Frank and you, Don, so your criticism of a gay man is strictly a partisan thing. In any case, no Republican is “grateful” for whatever really happened. Lie #7

  • robert108

And I’m still waiting for you give up your Bush/Republican apologist ways.

As usual, you lie. I am in no way apologetic for being a Conservative, or for supporting our President.

But that’ll be when hell freezes over. You’re in charge and we’ve seen what’s happened.

Yes, we have. A murdering dictator has been deposed, and millions are now free to choose their form of govt. What they choose is not as important as the fact that they now have a right to choose. Thought all you lefties were pro-choice! We have lower tax rates, more prosperity and growth, and more economic freedom. After eight years of hunkering down in fear and letting the terrorists grow and multiply, we are fighting them all over the world.

Foley quit in disgrace, a pervert stalking children

Two more lies from you: No stalking, only flirting, and no children, but young men over the age of consent. Funny how you need to tell those lies over and over again.

    What’s your approval ratings again?

Yes, let’s forget elections, and just govern by rigged agendized polls and lying innuendo and smear. How Democratic of you!

  • http://www.fileitunder.com/ Hoodlumman

    Don
I’m not sure but doesn’t STFU mean shut the fuck up?

Could that be construed as a childish insult?

Not if you’re a democrat. Then it’s honest debate.

  • robert108

Don: The usual denial of the truth from you. The schoolyard name changing doesn’t give you any credibility, either. I offered the same amount of proof you did, but what I said was true and your claims were false. Get over it.

  • robert108

P: I’ll try to make it simple for you: The Dems had this information on Foley for some time, but didn’t choose to reveal it until right before the election, so they didn’t really care about “protecting the children”, did they? That’s not the gay bashing part. Foley’s behavior was not anything the Dems have ever publicly disapproved of; in fact, they praise it as an “alternate lifestyle”, except when it is being done by a Republican, then it becomes a “scandal”. When you strip away the lies, that this was pedophilia(it was not), that this is “underage sex”(it was not underage, nor was it sex) and when you factor in that at least some of it was deliberately manufactured, you are left with one conclusion: Foley’s real crime was to be a gay Republican. That is the most cynical and partisan gay bashing there is. This is an attempt to divide the Republican vote; no more, no less. There no victims making any accusations here; only self-righteous Dems trying to win an election by playing dirty tricks. Shame on them!

    That the the Taliban resurged

and that Rumsfeld’s is totally incompetent

    CORRECTION
ok ok I stand corrected. Foley is not a pedophile. Apparently he is something known as a “chickenhawk”.

In the Foley context, it has nothing to do with guys who skipped military service but like war.

  • robert108

Two: Yes, the Dems must be getting really desperate to go for gay bashing. The gays are one of their “plantation” groups. Maybe this is a warning for gays to not go Republican, or they will be “outed” and demonized.

  • Puzzlefeet

Robert 108, please provide the proof that the Dems had this information. Nice try at deflection, though. The republicans had the information for years, like three, I believe. so you can just keep talking the Limbaugh/Hannity/republican talking points but it is clear that this is all yours buddy, the republicans have to clean their own house. I just love how you are trying to deflect this and blame the dems. The fact remains, this is the utter failure of the republicans to protect children in their charge and were more bent on protecting the seat of a republican then protecting children.

Hey Guttermouth, you just think the Foley thing is all over cuz he’s gone, but there’s so much more to come, the complete and utter failure of the Republican leadership to lead. the republicans came to town and said they would bring integrity and accountabililty back to the country. Now we have Delay, Ney, Ralston, Libby, Foley and the entire Republican house leadership in utter chaos.

And neither of you have proven that the dems have been gaybashing. Nice try, guys, you’re both nothing but apolgists for the failed leadership of the republicans. Even your own want the heads of their leaders on a platter while another is out there blaming the parents for allowing their children to hang around a “creep.”

    Boo hoo hoo!!

  • 2Hotel9

Donnie, as a gay man you should be pissed at your party, the Democrat Party, for bashing gays in order to push up their numbers. Instead you are angry at the party that is not bashing gays. You are seriously confused.

  • Puzzlefeet

Once again, Bezu, get your facts straight. Pelosi marched in a gay parade. It does not mean that she supports NAMBLA because they were in the parade. She wasn’t “WITH” this group as you so lamely try to connect.

Perhaps you can find one shred of evidence that she is supportive of NAMBLA. Because if this is all you have, Bwaaaaa haaaaa haaaa.

Keep trying Bezu, keep trying. If you’re going to use the Hannity/Coulter talking points at least make them accurate. You and Guttermouth and R108, try as you might just can’t seem to get it right. The problem is you are all trying to deflect your republican scandal onto the democrats and are whining that the Dems set you up and yet you have not shown one whit of proof just a bunch of crying and whaling about how bad the dems are to have done this to your party.

this one’s all yours boys, so you can just wallow in it and your family values party which is in a shambles this fine morning.

  • 2Hotel9

puzzledfuck, Foley is already gone, he resigned. And his replacement is already on the ballot. And the GOP is taking their talking points from me. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!! Now go bash some more gays and marginalize some more minorities. That is all your party, the Democrat Party, has. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 2Hotel9

puzzle bashes gays, puzzle bashes gays, because she is intolerant, because she is intolerant. Mark Foley appreciates your support for his alternative lifestyle.

  • Puzzlefeet

And I’m still waiting for you give up your Bush/Republican apologist ways. But that’ll be when hell freezes over. You’re in charge and we’ve seen what’s happened. Maybe 2007 will be a better year. We can only hope.

so what happened to personal accountability?

so what happened to accountability in the Bush/Republican adminstration?

    so what happenened fiscal accountability?

    Let’s see what we got:

a war out of control so much that now we have a commission headed by James Baker trying to figure a way out of Iraq in order Bush to save face.

    Delay indicted
    Cunningham indicted and pled guilty
Foley quit in disgrace, a pervert stalking children
    Ney indicted
Abramoff: indicted pled guilty and singing like a bird
Ralston: Rove’s aid de camp forced to resign

Yep, you betcha, the adults are in charge, bringing integrity and personal responsibiity back to the White House and congress. What’s your approval ratings again?

  • 2Hotel9

You are a Democrat, the spewing of their talking points clearly indicates that, and they are bashing gays. Gay Republicans, to be specific. So, you admit you have no problem with attacking gays, as long as they are not Democrats. Now we understand. Oh, and the Republican Party is not shouting about this. They are quite shamefully remaining silent, as usual. It is rank&file Republican voters that are raising hell about your party, the Democrat Party, bashing gays. I, as a life-long Independant, am gleefully pouring gasoline on the fire. You Democrats completely screwed this one up. Instead of just allowing the Republicans to implode you Democrat morons could not keep your mouths shut, and hence gave the GOP an out. Donnie, you stupid Democrats just don’t get it. The internet has made it a whole new world, and you Democrats keep bumbling around as if it was still 1980. Dumbfucks.

  • robert108

R108, what a liar you are tonight.

An empty charge, at best. You just can’t stand the truth about your partisan gay bashing Dems.

  • robert108

What, no explanation of the “gaybashing” boys?

The entire accusation was based on Foley’s gay orientation. Simple enough for you to understand?
The original lie was “pedophiliac sex”, but that has evaporated, since there was no sex or pedophilia. Next, it was “underage” boys, and that turns out to be false, as well. The only constant here is Foley’s gayness.

  • 2Hotel9

Oh, and still waiting for those facts you are going to post.

  • 2Hotel9

Your party, the Democrat Party, is where the “gays are child molestors” meme came from. No one in the right side of Congress ever mentioned child molestors. That was your brainless leader, Pelosi.

  • 2Hotel9

Pleaseto explain why you are not angry at your party, the Democrat Party, bashing gays. Is it really that difficult?

  • Puzzlefeet

Once again, all talk and no proof, simply saying the dems are gay bashing, is not proof. You boys know that. No proof that the dems are gay bashing, no proof that the dems set you guys up. No proof whatsoever.

Dems in desperation? Bwaaa haaaa haaaa!!!!. Let’s see,….hmm…. who’s been having late night meetings trying to save themselves. How many Rs have canceled fundraisers with Hastert? How many in R leadership are blaming each other. How many in the R party have called for the resignation of Hastert and any one in leadership?

You can claim we are gaybashing but once again, your lame attempt at deflection is falling on deaf ears. No one’s buying it. You all tried to cover this up and now in order to deflect what you did wrong and your utter failureto protect the children, you try to claim that Dems are gaybashing.

Such a lame attempt. this has been so much fun tonight watching you two squirm. Just keep up the Limbaugh/Hannity/R talking points. Bwaaaahaaaaaaahaaaaa.

    This just in…..
    drip…drip…drip….
Puzzlefeet on October 6, 2006 at 10:58 pm

This has been in for a while:

Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi marched in a Gay Pride parade with San Francisco’s beloved Harry Hay; a fierce advocate of NAMBLA and man/boy love.

That would be now Democratic leader of the U.S. Congress and the candidate of the Democratic Party to be the next Speaker of the House of Representatives, the official third in line to be President of the United States.

Surely this is a different Rep. Nancy Pelosi from the one who currently has on her website as Minority Leader the following statement:

“Republican leaders admitted to knowing about Mr. Foley’s abhorrent behavior for six months to a year and failed to protect the children in their trust. Republican Leaders must be investigated by the Ethics Committee and immediately questioned under oath.”

    Abhorrent behavior?

If men having sex with children is “abhorrent behavior.” then it seems it would be quite logical for a United States Congresswoman to stand up and protest the presence of one of its leading advocates having a place of honor in a civic parade — a parade in which she herself would be marching mere steps behind him.

If Representative Pelosi took the time to condemn Harry Hay’s presence in the Pride Parade, there is no evidence that I can find.

Nor did she refuse to march in the parade as a protest of Mr. Hay.
Nor did she issue a statement warning parents that they were bringing their kids to a parade where Mr. Hay was one of the featured attractions.

What Representative Pelosi chose to do instead — as did much of civic San Francisco — is blithely give a wink-and-a-nod to ole Harry and his interest in little boys.

Not only does a moment like this unintentionally reveal the mindset of what Representative Pelosi and her fellow Democrats may really think but can’t — yet — support.

(This is, after all, the city where now-Mayor Newsom took it upon himself to break new cultural ground by authorizing the performance of same-sex marriages — in violation of California law.)

It also raises the question of whether the acceptance of Harry Hay and his views is a snapshot of a larger, unspoken agenda that San Francisco Democrats want the national Democratic Party to eventually pursue when they return to a Congressional majority — and the White House.

After all, if Harry Hay’s views were not only celebrated in a parade in San Francisco but were not even thought out-of-the-mainstream enough to draw the slightest protest from Ms. Pelosi, why should there be protests over a move to eventually change the laws about men having sex with boys in Pennsylvania or Missouri or Virginia?

There’s two words for that kind of agenda.

    “Abhorrent behavior.”

    —————————————————-
Liberal San Francisco Democratic Representative Nancy Pelosi Supports NAMBLA. Here’s what NAMBLA says:

“The issue of love between men and boys has intersected the gay movement since the late nineteenth century, with the rise of the first gay rights movement in Germany.

In the United States, as the gay movement has retreated from its vision of sexual liberation, in favor of integration and assimilation into existing social and political structures, it has increasingly sought to marginalize even demonize cross-generational love.

Pederasty – that is, love between a man and a youth of 12 or so years of age – say middle-class homosexuals, lesbians, and feminists, has nothing to do with gay liberation.

Some go so far as to claim, absurdly, that it is a heterosexual phenomenon, or even “sexual abuse.”

    What a travesty!

Pederasty is the main form that male homosexuality has acquired throughout Western civilization – and not only in the West!

Pederasty is inseparable from the high points of Western culture – ancient Greece and the Renaissance.

Men and youths have always been attracted to each other, and, like homosexuality in general, their love is irrepressible.

Even if it is far from triumphing, or flowering with the freedom it merits and has enjoyed in some other cultures (for example, Siwa oasis in Egypt), still, it can never be repressed.

It will continue to find its way to expression despite all the efforts to suppress and demonize it.

As John Henry Mackay wrote in 1924 in The Books of the Nameless Love:

They murder our love and yet it lives.
They throttle our cry and it echoes back from the future.

  • Puzzlefeet

B1, what the hell are you talking about? Just because you are gay doesn’t mean you go after children! what hogwash! you all are trying to claim that he went after these boys because he is gay! he went after them because he is a pervert. It would be no different than if he were heterosexual and did the same thing with the female pages. This is all about his abuse of his position in government and the leadership of the Rs who tried to save their asses instead of deal with this when it first came to their attention. No, they had to deal with their political situation first, then took action to save as much of their political asses as they could.

so why don’t you all try to stay on the topic and stick to the issue, and try to think on your own tonight and leave the Limbaugh/hannity/R talking points memo to the professionals.

  • 2Hotel9

Puzzledfuck is practically histerical, must be “the change”. I love the Democrat Party in desperation mode, just too funny. Hey, puzzle, is your union going to hop on the “we will out you if you defy our commands” bandwagon? Your gaybashing is going to lose you a pile of voters. And they ain’t gonna vote Republican. They are just not going to vote, period. Just like the abysmal turnout your party, the Democrat Party, had in the primaries. Now toddle along and bash some more gays, I think you missed a couple yesterday.

  • 2Hotel9

No explaination needed. We just sit back and watch you Democrats bash away. The more hysterical you get, the funnier it is.

  • Bat One

When Puzzle manages to voice her support for the Boy Scouts position against gay scout leaders, then maybe we can start to take the rest of her partisan little tirades seriously. After all, if the untoward advances of an adult male authority figure toward a 17 year old male are repugnant and offensive, how can similar advances toward a 10 or 12 year old be accpetable?

In the meantime, as usual, it is the Republicans that are being principled and consistent.

  • robert108

;;;the republicans have to clean their own house.

Clean their house of what? Having gay members? You make my point. If a Dem had done this, nothing would have happened. This is a case of selective outrage, and that outrage is about what is considered to be normal gay behavior. It’s called “boy toys”, if I’m not mistaken.

…the republicans came to town and said they would bring integrity and accountabililty back to the country.

I’m glad to hear that there is something wrong with having gay members of Congrss. Now get rid of Barney Frank and the other gay Dems, and you might have something to say about leadership.
I haven’t blamed the parents at all. As a matter of fact, when first informed of this, three years ago, the parents didn’t want to pursue it, and the Republicans honored their wishes.
This is pure partisan politics, and nothing more. No Dem has been “damaged” by any of this, but they are the ones making the loud squealing noises.
The Republicans quickly acted to expel their gay member of Congress; will the Dems follow suit, and show their “leadership”?

  • Puzzlefeet

    then there’s this today:

In Pennsylvania this week, Representative Don Sherwood, a suddenly endangered Republican, bought time on television to offer an apology in response to allegations that he had abused his mistress.

    (Washington Post 10/6/06)

Nice Try guttermouth, what is happening to the party of “moral values”? It seems the wheels are coming off the track.

Pelosi said he was a child molester, not that he is a child molester because he is gay. Obviously you have a problem with gays as does the republican party.

  • Puzzlefeet

Hey guttermouth and Bezu, this scandal’s all yours. So you can keep trying to call me intolerant and gay bashing but neither of you have yet to provide one whit of proof.

So keep screaming wrong and gaybashing from the top of your lungs, it just ain’t working boys. You are positively apoplectic at the predicament your “family values” party is in so you come up with this brilliant argument of claiming that Pelosi supports NAMBLA. Is this the best you boys can do this morning?

Hey guttermouth, did you forget to take your meds today. Your perseverating a bit so you might want to up your dosage. just a suggestion

It’s like shooting fish in a barrel today.

  • http://www.captainnormal.org/ Don Myers

More childish insults…please wake me up when one of you kids has something of substance to say.

    >YAWN<

  • Puzzlefeet

Once again, no proof, just a bunch of Republican apologists trying to deflect this scandal away from the the republicans and using the 3rd grade argument, “well, they did it too.”

The examples given are so tenuous that I could also argue that men should be kept away from women since some men have a tendency to want to rape women.

And R108, your NAMBLA argument is pathetic. I would venture a guess that there are many in Congress that have constituents that belong to NAMBLA and they don’t make NAMBLE their signature cause.

Namecalling? Please get real! You repeat what you hear on Hannity as the truth and when called on the actual facts you cry “namecalling”. Perhaps just perhaps, you should check out what your fellow apologists say rather than just be a parrot.

Hey Beze, no proof, not even circumstantial evidence. Oh, and your lame attempt at proof of gay bashing falls flat. Your problem with this lame attempt is that he is not being attacked for being gay, but for going after children.

    Like, nice try though.

  • 2Hotel9

Pelosi has vote in support of initiatives to legalize the activities of organisations such as NAMBLA. Now suck it, puzzledfuck.

  • http://www.captainnormal.org/ Don Myers

Pleaseto explain why you are not angry at your party, the Democrat Party, bashing gays. Is it really that difficult?

    Not difficult at all—

    1) I’m not a Democrat

    2) They aren’t bashing gays

Clearly, you have no idea what gay bashing is.

Please to explain why you think that your party, the GOP, can deflect attention from their own corruption by shouting “GAY BASHING!” at the top of their lungs.

  • Bat One

    Puzzle,

If you will try just a little bit harder to concentrate on what is being said, I will try just a little bit harder to slow down enough to make that effort easier for you.

If you are going to suggest that adult males who show a “perverted” interest in 17 year old males should be restricted from positions of authority over those boys, then it’s hard to see how you can oppose those, like the Boy Scouts, who try to keep exactly that situation from happening.

I have not suggested that everyone who is gay is perverted, so please don’t insult my intelligence with that tired strawman argument.

You could TRY to argue that the Boy Scouts should allow gay scout leaders and only go after those who actually DO something perverted toward those under their control, but then you would be endangering the very victims you pretend to be concern with, and argung against the very position that you and the Democrats have taken against Congressman Foley… particularly as I don’t see that you have any sort of proof that Foley actually DID anything to any of the pages. Logical consistency is such a bitch, isn’t it.

I know this sort of confrontation is frustrating for you. But this is what happens when you shoot off your mouth without the benefit thinking first… an all too common affliction among those on the Left, obviously.

  • robert108

P: Pelosi also marched in the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade right next to one of the NAMBLA guys, who are proud of being child molesters; real ones, at that.
Foley at least waited until his “boys” were of legal age before he really approached them, unlike Pelosi’s NAMBLA pals.

  • Puzzlefeet

What, no explanation of the “gaybashing” boys?

  • 2Hotel9

We have to prove nothing. Each time you screech hysterically it is all the proof we need. Especially when you tell us we have to “clean our own house”. Democrat code for “get rid of gays”, you are so transparent it is comical. Now screech some more for us, too damn funny.

  • 2Hotel9

puzzledfuck, we don’t have to prove anything. Every comment you post is just dripping with hate and derision for anyone who dares to disagree with your party’s, the Democrat Party, position. Hard left ideologues are all of the gay lobby remaining with the Democrat Party. Every day walking in the street working at their job gays are turning their backs on the Democrat Party and moving to other political affiliations. And they ain’t going Republican. They are leaving you, because you are a bitter, hate-filled old woman, and your party, the Democrat Party, is filled with bitter, hate-filled old people who cannot get over 1967. Now suck on it.

    Speaking of inappropriate emails…

Some Florida Democrats called Kevin King a rising star amongst the ranks of Democrats, but others, like the head of the Pinellas Democratic Party, Ed Helm, had doubts.

King was arrested in 2001. A judge ordered the St. Petersburg Police Department to seal all records regarding the arrest. King admits that the arrest stems from when he was a substitute teacher. He was arrested for computer solicitation to commit a lewd and lascivious act and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to published reports, King sent e-mails or instant messages to two female students, aged 14 and 15, trying to get them to skip school and drink alcohol with him. In addition, the reports say that King also asked the 14-year-old to perform a sexual act on him.

King, who admits he was arrested, insists he did nothing wrong and points to the fact that the records were sealed and he was not found guilty of anything. King would not appear on camera for this story.

Public records obtained from the Pinellas School District state that it was initially substantiated that he was committing or convicted of a felony. King convinced the school district to change the record to say that it was “misconduct in office where a student was related.”

King resigned his paid position in the Democratic Party after the primaries to care for his parents. Two weeks ago, however, he was elected a Democratic committee member position in Pinellas County. The position concerns Ed Helm, who had earlier asked the Florida Democratic Party leadership to relieve him of his duties in Pinellas County, “or terminate him.”

As Michelle Malkin suggests, perhaps there is something in the water down in Florida.

You guys give puzzle feet a break. She’s trying real hard and can’t help it if she was never educated properly in school.

That’s not her fault. She’s a victim and is deserving of charity and tenderheartedness.

She’s just a kid: albeit an air headed blockhead, but a kid nevertheless.

Right now, she’s having a difficult time thinking for herself so, please, show some compassion for this poor pathetic child.

It’s not really ‘her’ fault that she’s so dazed and deficient. Perhaps she too was abused by a cleric when she was younger.

Mr. “Nambla” was number 31 in the parade and Ms. Pelosi was number 34 in the parade line up. They were not marching “together” as you allege

    Ok Pus…First things first…
Once upon a time….two astronauts were both in the space shuttle.
    The space shuttle is huge.
One astronaut was way in the back and the other was way in the front.
According to your puerile and silly reasoning you’d say that they were not flying together on the same mission. But really they were.

I was thinking about adding a picture here to help puzzle feet understand (kids like picture books)but the concept is so simple that I decided an image is not needed. I’m working on faith that pus will understand.

This statement alone kiddo, completely blows any and all credibility that you might have had.

Once again, all talk and no proof, simply saying the dems are gay bashing, is not proof. You boys know that. No proof that the dems are gay bashing,No proof whatsoever.
Puzzle feet on October 6, 2006 at 10:16 pm

Democrat Bob Beckel, echoing his party’s concerns, said a gay man should be kept away from male pages the same way Willie Sutton should have been kept away from banks.

“If Willie Sutton is around some place where a bank is robbed,” Beckel said, “then you’re probably going to say, ‘Willie, stay away from the banks.’”

This is the current Democratic line.

Hmmmm….. let’s search the memory bank.

In July 2000, the New York Times (Dem) “ethicist” Randy Cohen advised a reader that pulling her son out of the Cub Scouts because they exclude gay scoutmasters was “the ethical thing to do.”

The “ethicist” explained: “Just as one is honor bound to quit an organization that excludes African-Americans, so you should withdraw from scouting as long as it rejects homosexuals.

    Ok Pus… gay man then= not excluded..gay man now = is excluded…hence the gaybashing….k?

The republicans had the information for years, like three, I believe…. it is clear that this is all yours buddy
I just love how you are trying to deflect this and blame the dems.
but there’s so much more to come,
Robert108 and 2h9 are nothing but apolgists for the failed leadership of the republicans
Puzzle feet on October 6, 2006 at 10:16 pm

First, the needless use of the word ‘LIKE’ in front of the word “three” betrays/affirms puss’s youthful stupidity. I mean, like I’m trying to like make a point here.

But, as Robert often says, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every so often.

Puzzle feet is partially correct (unbeknownst to her how and why) when she says there’s no proof (YET) that the Dems had the IM’s for that period of time.

She’s also correct when she says: “but there’s so much more to come.”

But not in the way she thinks!

Yes these communications appear to have existed for three years, there should be an investigation into the extent that there are persons who knew or had possession of these messages but did not report them to the appropriate authorities.

This is in Hastert’s letter to the justice department.

    Fact:
The Republicans did not have these instant messages. But somebody did. Who are they? Who started rubbing their hands together and salivating, and how long ago?
Tons of circumstantial evidence implicating the DEMs is piling up!! (BUT NO SOLID PROOF —YET)

Remember, Democrat Gerry Studds did more than engage in an exchange of words with the page.

He actually went out there and had a little whoopee and the House only censured him, and he got reelected from his district. Twice.

P: So, they were separated slightly; does that really make a difference? Her marching with him in the parade was a demonstration of support. Why didn’t she protest his presence? He supports child molestation. Got a real answer? Where was her “leadership”?

  • 2Hotel9

puzzle bashes gays! puzzle bashes gays!

  • robert108

P: You continue to lie and be an apologist for the NAMBLA-supporting Dems and Pelosi. She was marching with the head of NAMBLA in San Francisco in their “Gay Pride” parade. Fact. She not only does not attempt to shut down this admitted pedophiliac group, she supports them because they vote for her.
You have presented zero evidence that NAMBLA is part of the Republican constituency, and they would be crazy to be that, since the Republicans don’t support them, like the Dems do. Gay Republicans are not equivalent to NAMBLA members, who are a subset of gay Dems. I sympathize with you; you are on the wrong side of this issue, and have to continue to lie and spin. You can’t admit that your party continues to support real pedophiles, along with all the other “alternate lifestyles” that make up your voting base. They have bought you with their political support, so you desperately have to seek out Republicans to blame for what Dems do as a matter of course. Sick!

  • robert108

P: Your pathetic personal attacks on me aside, here’s the truth about Dem “leadership”. As a Californian, I know quite well who Pelosi’s constituency is, and it includes NAMBLA, but not gay Republicans. She knows full well that NAMBLA advocates and practices predatory child molestation, and yet has never gone after them or repudiated them. If you want to blame Hastert for not “going after” Foley, then why not blame Pelosi for not acting on far worse actions among her own constituents? She is a partisan hypocrite, and not for the first time. You’re right, in a way; this isn’t simply gay bashing, it’s partisan gay bashing of a Republican for political purposes. Shame on Pelosi, and on all the other Dems who don’t actively go after NAMBLA!

  • Puzzlefeet

What a liar. Obviously you were listening to Hannity today. so why don’t you get the story right, you liar. Mr. “Nambla” was number 31 in the parade and Ms. Pelosi was number 34 in the parade line up. They were not marching “together” as you allege.

You have truly proven yourself to have absolutely no credibility, a liar and a serial repeater of Hannity talking points.

Bwaaa haaaa haaaa! don’t you think you should try again tomorrow R108?

  • robert108

P: Pelosi accuses Hastert of not exercising his leadership in going after a guy who flirted with a couple of young men(over the age of consent), while Pelosi exercises no leadership in going after admitted pedophiles in her constituency of San Francisco; she even marches in a parade with their leader. That is self-righteous hypocrisy. Has Pelosi ever even denounced NAMBLA?
You lie about Foley and children; no children were involved. Like all lefties, you have to lie.
The list of accused and disgraced Dem congressmen is just as long, and at least one of them, “Cold Cash” William Jefferson(Dem-Louisiana) is still serving after being caught red-handed with both a video and the cash. Why the double standard? Flirting vs Bribery? Why do you fail to mention the Dem crooks?

  • Puzzlefeet

Guttermouth, really you ought to calm down just bit. You are getting hysterical now. Are you missing your pig again? Now don’t take it out on your wife.

  • Puzzlefeet

Please explain how the dems are “gaybashing”. Incidentally, this is the new Rs talking points meme. Hey, that’s the ticket, let’s blame the Dems. Because then we can deflect the fact that we sat on this information for oh, I dunno 2-3 years. Yeah, let’s blame the dems, after they’re in charge, whoops, maybe we won’t use that last line. Oh, and let’s accuse them of gay bashing, yeah that’ll get em good.

The fact is this is all R, all this time. You guys can just wallow in it, no one’s buying the “blame the dems” and “gaybashing dems” meme.

The Rs were hoping to get past the election then force Foley out so that ole Jeb could appoint his replacement. Why do you republicans hate children so much? And now the Rs are blaming the parents saying there are creepy people all around.

  • robert108

Yes, where’s that Dem “leadership” when it comes to real pedophilia? I guess NAMBLA aren’t Republican.

Prove it or STFU bobby boy…
then….. Here come the childish insults right on cue!
Don Myers on October 6, 2006 at 03:15 pm

    Don
I’m not sure but doesn’t STFU mean shut the fuck up?

Could that be construed as a childish insult?

  • 2Hotel9

We still do not have to prove anything. Your hate-filled gaybashing is all the prove needed. Now suck on it, you bitter, frigid, hate-filled old bitch.

  • Puzzlefeet

Guttermouth, wow, you are upset tonight. Your pig must have run away again. Too bad. Oh, and nice showing of your broad vocabulary. Bwaaaa haaaa haaaa!!!!

R108, you’re in charge in Washington, but once again, your republicans have utterly failed to show any leadership whatsoever. They have even failed to outlaw NAMBLA the group you are so hot over. You attack Nancy Pelosi because she hasn’t done anything to stop them (a diversionary argument, but I’ll play along). If the Rs hate this group so much why haven’t they passed legislation outlawing NAMBLA? you’re in charge, gitrdone.

Your silly attack on Pelosi using NAMBLA won’t accomplish what you are attempting. You can attempt to minimize this scandal by saying it was all a flirtation, but the publica ain’t buying it. So keep trying though.

  • 2Hotel9

Oh, come now r108, give puzzledfuck a break. It is not her fault. She is a bitter,frigid,hate-filled,gaybashing old bitch. Oh, er, well I guess it is her fault. Sorry. Carry on.

  • Soul Patch

“A controversial fundraising committee run by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was slapped with a $21,000 fine by the Federal Election Commission for enabling Pelosi to funnel more than $100,000 in illegal contributions to Democratic candidates in late 2002 as she was vying to become Democratic leader.”

Not only is this RAT an embarassment to the party of Truman and FDR, but she is a clear reason not to mix Botox and methamphetamines.

I would ask if I’m the only one who thinks Pelosi looks like something from Night of the Living Dead, but that’s an insult to the living dead.

Robert and Barbara Curley have filed a $200 million wrongful death lawsuit against the North American Man Boy Love Association[nambla] — an organization that defends what it calls ‘intergenerational sex’. Critics call them pedophiles.
    CNN
    The ACLU defended

Regarding the ACLU; Few organizations dance closer to the very edge of the loony-Left precipice than it does.

That said, the ACLU lately has stained the dark side of its reputation through its actions in two cases involving the treatment of vulnerable, young Americans. The ACLU is defending those who abuse children while attacking those who give them moral guidance. This contrast reveals the priorities of today’s ACLU.

The ACLU has offered material support to those who openly preach pedophilia and arguably encourage kidnapping, rape, and murder.

Yet this legal group is energetically hostile to an organization that tries to turn boys into men[Boy Scouts], with sex alien to the process.

The ACLU’s supporters should contemplate where this organization has placed itself vis-à-vis NAMBLA.

Nancy Pelosi is a supporter and a member of the ACLU!

  • 2Hotel9

puzzle bashes gays. puzzle bashes gays. nana nana na na. Now puzzle is bashing Foley for having a “relationship” with a consenting adult. puzzledfuck? Why do you hate gays so much? Is your son gay? Daughter a lesbian and won’t go to bed with you? Just why are you so bitter and hate-filled, frigid old bitch?

  • Puzzlefeet

Nice try, R108, it is part of the republican constituency, it is also located in New York. I suppose Tom Reynolds should be doing more, he’s a Leader in your party and from New York. Once again, your flimsy attempt at deflectin ain’t gonna work.

You continue to be an apologist for the republicans who claimed that when they came to power they would bring accountability and integrity back to Washington. I seem to remember them proudly proclaiming “the adults are in charge, now.”

too Bad, R108, if you got the proof, put it out there. You just are trying to throw as much mud at democrats hoping some of it sticks so you can use the third grade argument “you did it too”. You rail against this when other bloggers do it, but you fall back on the same argument when ya got nothin left to prop up your failed republican party.

So much for credibility. so much for accountability. So much for the adults being in charge.

  • robert108

NAMBLA is not part of the Republican constituency. It should be a local enforcement matter, i.e. Pelosi in her area of San Francisco. She shows no sign of any action against the organization in her area. She is a hypocrite, and a self-righteous one at that.
In answer to your question about legislation, there is plenty of legislation against NAMBLA, since pedophilia is illegal everywhere. In San Francisco, at least, those laws are not being enforced. Ask Pelosi why she is protecting those pedophiles.
I see no more serious law enforcement with certain Republicans than with certain Dems. Hastert doesn’t include San Francisco in his constituency, so why do you keep being an apologist for Pelosi and her failure to bust NAMBLA in her city? The only thing Foley has really done is to flirt with those young men. Not my cup of tea, but I thought you lefties approved of “alternative lifestyles”. Only for the Dems, I guess, like Barney Frank. Who does Barney flirt with? Do you know?

  • robert108

The hypocritical double standards of the lefties never cease to amaze me, along with their self-righteousness.

  • Puzzlefeet

Let’s add up the score here: you hate Pelosi and try to equate her membership in the ACLU with supporting NAMBLA and marching in a gay rights parade. Is that it? That’s the best you can do. Oh yeah you also add her looks for good measure.

Now your side: disgraced congressman going after children while on duty (Foley); disgraced and arrested former majority leader (Delay); disgraced and arrested congressman (Ney), disgraced and arrested assistant to the Veep (Libby). Disgraced and arrested republican lobbyist (Abramoff) Disgraced and Resigned (forced?) assistant to Karl Rove with over 465 contacts to the White House by Abramoff.

You guys have had a great 2006. What will 2007 bring?

  • Puzzlefeet

Is that the best you have to offer, guttermouth? Bwaaahhhaaaaaaaaa

  • robert108

P: Where is Pelosi’s “leadership” in going after admitted child molesters in her own constituency, a group called NAMBLA, who exist solely for the purpose of having sex between adult men and young boys, even under the age of puberty? She knows who they are and where they are, but she has exhibited no leadership in going after them and punishing them, but she self-righteously attacks a Republican gay man for flirting with young men above the age of consent. Talk about hypocrisy! Shame on you for being an apologist for her!

  • Puzzlefeet

Oh boo hoo hoo Guttermouth’s pig ran away and he has no one to love in his own way.

  • Puzzlefeet

okay, I’ll even give you Jefferson. You simply ignore the facts and continue to be a Republican/Bush apologist and stand up for the pervert Foley. Have the republicans ever legislated against NAMBLA? No, so they are supporting NAMBLA as well, I don’t think Hastert has spoken out against NAMBLA.

Why do you fail to admit the serious leadership vacuum in the republican party? Why do you fail to admits the serious criminal activity within your own party? Flirting? If you say so! You’re just too too funny tonight.

  • 2Hotel9

No, puzzledfuck, you decided there are 2 kinds of gay people. Those who vote Democrat, and those you hate. Ain’t life grand, you hate-filled, gay bashing, frigid old bitch?

  • robert108

    P:

R108 so now you have decided that there are two kinds of gay people. Gay democrats = bad. Gay republicans (as long as they stay in the closet) = good? Is that you newest argument.

Wow, that is the most pathetically lame argument you have ever posted. You have no proof whatsoever and just throw lies out there.

Well, as usual, you lie to mislead. I said just the opposite, so you admit that the Dems targeting of only gay Republicans is lame? I agree with you on that one. For the Dems, their gays are OK, even if they are pedophiles(NAMBLA), but gay Republicans who flirt with teenage boys over the age of consent, and who wait until they are of age to actually approach them is “evil”. Nice double standard, and exceedingly lame. If the Dem gays only flirted with young men, there is no crime. That’s my position. I just have the same standard for both parties, unlike you and the rest of the hypocritical Dems.

Keep apologizing for your party’s utter lack of leadership. It is, after all, what you do best, R108.

And I’m still waiting for some leadership from you and the rest of the Dems against NAMBLA(the real pedophiles). Cleanse them from your Party, and then maybe you will have something worthwhile to talk about.

  • 2Hotel9

I don’t have to offer anything, your gay bashing and racism says it all. Vote Democrat, 9 out of 10 members of the KKK do.

  • Puzzlefeet

R108 so now you have decided that there are two kinds of gay people. Gay democrats = bad. Gay republicans (as long as they stay in the closet) = good? Is that you newest argument.

Wow, that is the most pathetically lame argument you have ever posted. You have no proof whatsoever and just throw lies out there.

The Foley scandal is all yours. Oh and I forgot to add Duke Cunningham to your 2006 all star Republican list.

Keep apologizing for your party’s utter lack of leadership. It is, after all, what you do best, R108.

This has been a most enjoyable thread watching you squirm and twist and support Foley, Hastert, Ney, Delay, Cunningham, Abramoff, Ralston, Libby. Gosh, all in one year, the year of accountability and family values of the Republican party. A grand ole party she is!

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

I don’t think the Democrats are gay bashing, but I do think they’re a bunch of stinkin’ hypocrites. I mean, Clinton commuted the sentence of a guy who had sex with his underage campaign worker, didn’t he?

How much you wanna bet that Bush won’t even consider the same thing?

And as I’ve asked before, how is what Foley did any different than people smuggling kids across state borders to get abortions, something the Democrats support? Why is it ok for my sixteen year old girl to make decisions about abortion without me, but not ok for a sixteen year old boy to have some sex chat with an older adult?

Which isn’t to defend what Foley did, but rather to illustrate just how morally bankrupt and two-faced the Dems are.
