“Why parody naïve young liberals when you can just let them speak for themselves?”

So says National Review, poking a bit of fun at a video called “Why I’m A Democrat” put out by the College Democrats of America.

You’ll have to scroll down a bit at the link and look in the center column for the high quality video because, apparently embarrassed after the fact, the College Democrats themselves have removed the video from YouTube. There is also this lower-quality version still on YouTube:

It’s all the usual stuff. These kids are Democrats because they’re pro-education and against racism. And, you know, Republicans like that kind of stuff.

The part when I finally laughed out loud was when the kid said that that his governors (yes, plural) were Scott Walker and Rick Perry.

I’d say that I hope he knows that he can’t actually vote in both states, but isn’t that sort of thing why Democrats oppose voter ID laws?
