Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd Don’t Know What The Word “Suffrage” Means

From a recent episode of The View:

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: The battle for same sex marriage continues. And one of the movement’s mottos is “gay is the new black.” At least that’s what some people are saying. That’s what’s on the cover of “The Advocate” this week. And some people don’t agree with comparing this to black suffrage. I don’t even know if I understand what that word is, suffrage, but I’ll leave it alone, black suffrage.
SHERRI SHEPHERD: I guess it’s when black people had to, you know, they didn’t want to die for being black. They didn’t want to be lynched. They wanted to be able to walk through the front door. They wanted to, you know, you had Jim Crow laws that said you could only, you can not do certain things if you were black.

And remember, these idiots interviewed both Presidential candidates and are generally looked to for political and social analysis by a goodly chunk of people in the public.
So what can we conclude? Don’t believe everything you hear on television. Most of the people you see there are dumber than you are.

And the good news is, Sherri, all of this is officially “Over” for African Americans now that BO’s in the White House.
You now have every right to be as miserable as anyone else without fear of deferential treatment from fear of offending you. Or, any further need of Affirmative action. Welcome to the Mainstream.
And. You may no longer use the “N” word, just because you’re black.
