Whoopi Goldberg Says She’d Like To “Do” Speaker Pelosi

Ugh…

Politico runs down the entire bizarre appearance.

Paul Pelosi is accustomed to playing second fiddle to his famous wife, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. But on Tuesday’s episode of the daytime talk show The View, Mr. Pelosi stole the show.

“We have an older man in the audience who I think is so attractive,” said Barbara Walters, one of the show’s five female panelists. “You wanna take a look at Nancy Pelosi’s handsome husband?” she asked as cameras turned to a bashful Paul Pelosi and the audience cheered.

“I see you eying me,” quipped Whoopi Goldberg, another panelist. “That’s cool.”

After a few ads for home pregnancy tests and shower gel, the Paul Pelosi adulation continued.

With Speaker Pelosi now seated with the panel, Walters quipped about Goldberg, “I think she’d like to do your husband.”

Retorted Goldberg, “I would do her as well, but we should wait on that because you’re still in office, I don’t want to cause a problem.”

After that playful, if bizarre, banter, the women moved on to the big issues. They had already talked about Britney Spears – “the biggest hot topic out there now,” judged Goldberg – and about Paul Newman and “Dancing with the Stars.” So that left only the Iraq War to posit to Pelosi.

As expected, the show’s conservative stalwart, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, mixed it up with the Speaker.

Hasselbeck asked why Democrats wanted to remove troops from Iraq when a new report showed the civilian death toll falling.

“Now we’re seeing a reduction in those civilian deaths and giving them the space that they do need for that political change. That is happening. In my mind and I’m sure many others, that’s seen as a success.”

Pelosi appeared to struggle with the question before finding a winning line.

“Elisabeth, if I may, with all due respect, there are still a lot of people dying,” she said.

Well nice they found time to hit on an important topic amidst the quasi-sexual love fest.

I’m sure they had to come up with some sort of diversion so that they didn’t have to mention the fact that she is running a congress with a 11 percent approval rating.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is a logical thinking woman.  I respect her for that and asking germain questions.  Nancy’s response was a non-answer.  There are also people being killed in the USA, Africa and everywhere in the world.  Many more people were killed by Sadam than after he was deposed.  Maybe she could have mentioned Kosova.

On an intellectual level, Pelosi failed to answer any of the questions presented to her ... lol, was she not expecting questions within the realm of politics?
The show seems to have been a waste of time, unless it was being taped for a segment on The Maury Povich Show.

The thought of these two women naked and ‘doing each other,’ all I have to say is . . .

I need to wash that vile image out of my mind. Oh, the humanity!

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.

...when further asked about the reduction in AIDS deaths since the introduction of anti-retroviral drugs, Speaker Pelosi remarked “With all due respect, there are still a lot of people dying. That’s why we must give up on the fruitless development of such drugs.”

Seriously, it’s the same damn logic. When did pat sound bites replace sound reasoning? Never mind, don’t answer that.

Yeesh. I’m no fan of the silver fox (gross, sorry) but me thinks that back in the day she “may” have been tappable. I mean, it looks like she’s got residue of a once prominent rack.
