Who Owns Conrad’s Vacation Home In Bethany Beach?

In an earlier post I accused Senator Kent “I Love VIP Loans” Conrad of lying about who owns his $1.4 million vacation home in Bethany Beach, Delaware.  In disclosure data for Senator Conrad compiled by the Bismarck Tribune  (the Tribune doesn’t note it, but I got this information earlier in an email and it was attributed to the Associated Press) is this information:

Narrative: Conrad also has a house in Bethany Beach, Del. that is owned by his wife, Lucy Calautti. Calautti is a lobbyist for Major League Baseball.

According to data from the local county recorder, however, both Conrad and Calautti are listed as the owners of the property.

Now, however, the actual 2007 disclosure forms have now been released (you can download them from here) and nowhere in them is the Bethany Beach house disclosed, nor is there any indication of the “narrative” above placing ownership of the property with Calautti.

Which leaves the question: Where did the Associated Press get that information?
