White House Adviser Thinks 20% Of Gitmo Detainee Continuing To Be Terrorists After Released Is A-Ok

Share |

This is White House advisor for homeland security and counterterrorism John Brennan telling an audience that a 20% recidivism rate for terrorists released from Guantanamo Bay is no big deal. Because 50% of the thiefs and pot dealers released from US prisons repeat their crimes. Or something like that.

I’d say that this guy needs to be fired, now, because he just doesn’t get it. But let’s face it. The Obama administration doesn’t get it, and we’re still about three years away from being able to fire them.

If it were not for the left banging the drum of being fair with these captives there would have been none returned to the field to fight against us again, Bush was pressured by the left and the news media, so if any one wants to place blame there it is; the news media and the left winged party members and lets not let the holly wood bunch off the hook they are responsible also, for we do not know how many deaths of our soldiers was caused by the left winged whining and crying about their civil rights. .

Let them go on Parole. If recaptured they should be shot.

The inescapable conclusion is that the Bush administratio was far, far more serious about protecting the US from Islamist terrorism than Team Obama. John Brennan opens his mouth merely to change feet, and Janet Napolitano, a pluperfect idiot, represents the Peter Principle for girls.

    Firing is too good.

Horsewhipping, tar, feathers, and a rail seem more in line.

Didja hear about the guy Bush let go? He’s now the deputy leader of Al Qaeda’s Yemeni branch.

I thought after capturing innocent Iraqis, taking them to a foreign land, torturing them, denying them of all rights, humiliating them, then letting them go, the rate would be closer to 100%. That’s why I didn’t support the Bush administration letting them go. I’m glad I was wrong.

I hope the Bush legacy doesn’t come back to haunt us later.

We should give them parole on Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Island. See if those libs really think they deserve to be let go.

She did not say that 20 % is ok and she also said and was defending not letting more go and be released, she said you can not tell what they will do once released, it is nothing like Brennan said at all. Condi Rice said we need to go slow on releasing these people and she did not say any percentage was ok . another feeble attempt to sully the Bush administration , I say there is plenty to sully the Bush administration with but this is not one of them .

Let me clarify so you all have his link.

PressSec RT @GlennThrush: Condi Rice sounded a lot like Brennan when talking about GTMO in ‘05. But nobody called for her firing http://bit.ly/8Z6TEy

The way I see it, according to John Brennan, if we let 100 detainees go and say 20 of them come back and fly planes into buildings ranging up and down the East coast, that’s OK?

I’m sure that Janet “the system worked” Napolitano agrees with him.

We can send them to live with the trolls on this blog. Locky and company can pay for their transport from Gitmo, and put them up.

  12. sayanything-4808 on February 14th, 2010 at 1:05 pm

Why not let the Obama administration let them live with them as probationary half-way house living if they trust them so much?

“Didja hear about the guy Bush let go? He’s now the deputy leader of Al Qaeda’s Yemeni branch.”
Yeah, and he was excoriated by the left for it. Can’t capture, can’t let go.

The rest would make a good book, swords, sorcery. Everything that makes good fiction.

Here is the Tweet from Gibbs on that:

PressSec RT @GlennThrush: Condi Rice sounded a lot like Brennan when talking about GTMO in ‘05. But nobody called for her firing http://bit.ly/8Z6TEy

Once again from Fibbs, why address the issue, just point the finger of blame.

  15. sayanything-277 on February 14th, 2010 at 3:11 pm

From what garbage pit did they raise this idiot, Brennan. Liz Cheney was on Fox saying how incompetent the Obama admin was on the terrorist subject. As usual she was spot on.

Lessee…the longest term any one could have served yet at Club Gitmo is 9 years…..for attempted or succeeded mass murder, and the guy doesn’t think it’s a big deal that mass murderers are getting out and getting another chance to do this.

mmmkay….evidently he’s not heard of why murderers often get longer terms than 9 years, I guess. Not quite up to speed on the idea that when someone attempts Murder 1, you want to keep them locked up until their body slows down a bit.
