If the goals were economic stagnation, a permanently elevated unemployment rate and an exploded national debt, then yeah.
Goals achieved.
“We’ve said repeatedly that we don’t want to relitigate the battles of the past,” says Carney when questioned about figured released by the Obama administration indicating we’d be at 7% unemployment at this point if the spending passed.
Or, in other words, “shut up.”
