Where Were The Troops At Super Bowl?

I didn’t even notice, but apparently there was no recognition of the troops at Super Bowl last night.
That’s a shame. It wouldn’t have been too hard to make at least a passing gesture of support and respect for the men and women fighting for us overseas.

Richard, we aren’t talking about shoving religion down everybody’s throat. We’re merely talking about acknowledging the men and women who fight every day for your freedom.

    Have a good day.
God bless. (had to throw that in for fun)

I do remember at the stadium, once or twice they showed uniformed audience members on the big screen, probably the honor guard.

I’ll be putting up pictures in the next week.

Actually, I watched the game with a pair of soldiers* and the announcer did say something along the lines of “welcome to all the military men and women overseas watching via the AFN.”

It was at the very beginning of the game and wasn’t huge but it WAS there.

    * Army 1st Lt who’s been back from Iraq for about 18 months and an Army lab tech from Walter Reed.

I know that I am going to get the big smack down for this but I just can not help myself. Supporting the troops is all fine and good but doing it just to do it has been way overdone, after awhile it actually has the opposite effect. Those of you that shove religion down everybodies throat may want to take note eventually your message will become old.
