When Will Tim Purdon’s Transparency Questionnaire Be Released?

Back at the beginning of his administration, Barack Obama claimed that he would have the “most transparent” administration in history. And to that end, he required that all of his nominees fill out a lengthy questionnaire that would then be disclosed to the public.
Back in July the questionnaires of Obama’s first wave of US Attorney nominees was made public.
I’m wondering when Obama’s most recent nominee, trial lawyer and Democrat party bag man Tim Purdon, will be releasing his questionnaire.
This is something we citizens need to keep an eye on. Call Dorgan, Conrad and Pomeroy and ask them when Purdon will get the “full disclosure” treatment.
I, for one, am looking forward to it.

Fair enough. And appointing someone without prosecutor experience isn’t unprecedented.

That being said, this guy is too much of a party hack for my tastes. And this coming on top of the fit Dems threw over Bush’s US attorney firings leaves me with heartburn.

When Will Tim Purdon’s Transparency Questionnaire Be Released?

    When it’s ready.
    But you already knew that.

I suppose he could have appointed Birch Burdick who is technically a prosecutor. I wouldn’t hire Burdick to prosecute a dog bite case. Purdon is a much better lawyer in the courtroom. Criminal defense lawyers typically make tougher prosecutors or judges because they know the defense lawyer tricks and know that most charged with crimes are guilty.

I agree that Obama can nominate anyone he wants. He’s the President, and obviously it was going to be a liberal.

But…Purdon is a Democrat national committeeman. With no prosecution experience.

I don’t think that combination is right.

Most ND lawyers cannot be classified as “trial lawyers” or not “trial lawyers” in the John Edwards sense of the words. The ND bar association is relatively small and most lawyers handle all types of cases. Tim Purdon is a fine lawyer and should do a good job as US Attorney. I am a Republican, but know that Obama would appoint a Dem. He could have done a lot worse that Purdon.
