When It Comes To Iraq The Media Is Only Interested In Dead US Soldiers

It’s almost gruesome, isn’t it?

The typical defense for this kind of behavior from media types is the “Safe airplane landings aren’t news” line.  But it seems to me that if Iraq is an important story while things look grim then Iraq is an important story when things look relatively bright.

Iraq has been the biggest news story of President Bush’s administration, but now that it seems as though we have a winning strategy in Iraq the media has decided it’s no longer worth covering.

That’s more than bias.  That leaves mere “bias” in the dust on its way to outright, one-sided, unabashed propaganda.

I think they have been too busy following Obama Madness!  Catch it!

Sigh....

That FOXNews, so liberally biased towards the war.  You would think they would at least offer some good stories on the Iraqi war.

Instead what do we get?

Bill O’Reilly - Nothing
Hannity - Nothing
Brit Hume - Nothing
on and on, and on and on.

Maybe there is something to that “Safe airplane landings aren’t news” line after all?

Not that you’ve offered anything to substantiate your points, Hannitized, but even if you had...what is your point?

If Iraq was such a big deal when things looked grim, why isn’t a big deal now that things are looking brighter?  Is it because it’s no longer so useful as a Democrat talking point?

Rob, if you’re looking for good news from Iraq you need to check other sources:

Their papers are pro-Iraqi, ours most definitely aren’t.  It gets hilarious at times, they’ll do things like write of “Imperialistic Americans” giving dental care to children, etc.  (It’s possible they don’t know what “imperialistic” means and it’s just the modifier always used.)

Yeah, that FOXNews channel certainly is the biggest mouth piece for the democrats that I have seen in a long time.

The point IS Rob, that your phoney baloney argument falls on its face when we simply watch Fox News.  That’s all I watch.  They don’t report on good news out of Iraq?  Why?  Because they are the talking piece for Democrats?  Hardly.  Your argument falls on its face with these points brought to light.

You knew what my point was.
