What Will The Left Do With Their Leftover Bush Derangement Syndrome After The Upcoming Elections?

For a couple of years after I first heard the phrase “Bush Derangement Syndrome” I gave it a sort of brief passing attention. I partially dismissed it as just another political slogan, a comeback for critics on the other side of aisle.
Well, as they say in the NFL, upon further review……I have to say that the syndrome (BDS for the sake of brevity) really exists and isn’t just a catch phrase. Sadly, it really exists.
We all know how the truther crowd has been screeching that Bush blew up the towers since shortly after 9/11. They don’t quit, either. They will espouse their views at every opportunity and will bravely plow forward with their theories in the face of facts, expert witnesses, and common sense.
The sheer stupidity of their idiotic theory in itself is mind boggling. An operation of that magnitude would require several hundred associate monsters to pull off. Does anyone out there honestly think that that many people could keep that kind of secret for more than an extended lunch hour? And – just where would anyone find that many Americans willing to kill that many other Americans, Maniacs ‘R’ Us? Evidently the voices in the truther’s heads are the ones they listen to.
The recent bridge collapse is also Bush’s fault. It took about a day for the BDS afflicted crowd to start circulating the opinion that it was the federal government who had neglected the bridge and that was because Bush had cut taxes. I even saw a political cartoon showing the collapsed bridge in the background and a sign in the foreground that said, “Your Tax Cuts At Work.”
Just today another BDS maniac named “Gypsy Taubs” has written on a web site called Politics From The Heart that she thinks the Bay Bridge (I’m assuming she means the San Francisco Bay Bridge) has been targeted by Bush to be blown up because it was closed for four days, ostensibly for “repairs”. She thinks the whole thing is suspicious and that Bush must be up to something. Four days for bridge repairs? Hmmmmm….
This past weekend Bush was in Iraq, which surprised everyone. When news footage of his visit to the troops surfaced one enraged political blogger, BDS syndrome in full eruption, asked how he could have the audacity to smile while he was there. To which I would reply with a question of my own: What was he supposed to do, go around snarling like Ebenezer Scrooge and whacking the troops with his cane?
The hatred of the far left for Bush is so intense that it clearly seems to interfere with whatever ability they have to think rationally. As one person recently put it: If the man were to discover the cure for cancer they would find a reason to hate him for it.
They also seem to think that he has somehow taken away personal rights and freedoms in his quest for world domination, and they compare him with Hitler on a regular basis. Somebody should pat them on their pointy heads and whisper in their ear that there will be an election in just a few months and Bush, like every other president before him, will pass the torch to whoever gets elected after him. He is not going to assume the mantle of dictator. He’s going away. Their biggest problem will be who to hate after he’s gone.
There, there…..the scary man is going away in just a few months. Hush now. Shhhhhh…..

    I’m shocked. SHOCKED!

Say B1 have you been talking about Romney’s finance person who was arrested for financial wrongdoings. Hm…

How long did it take you to change the subject? Hm….

You needn’t worry about the BDS fading away if a Dem is elected president. Anytime something bad happens (one or more hurricanes), another large terrorist attack, an economic slump, another bridge collapse,…it can all be blamed on President Bush cutting taxes, not signing on to the Kyoto accords, inflaming the Muslims by invading Iraq, take your pick.

They just have to cut-and-paste something from their “It’s Bush’s fault” menu. They can even reach back and blame the 1994 – 2006 Republican majority in Congress, too.

R108, says you. Righties lie, it’s all they have.

Bat one LOL, the funny one is that the Clinton’s had the gall to looked shocked when it was revealed that they recieved campaign money from questionable sources. Its funny but haven’t we been down this road before.

Repeat after me: Thompson Derangement Syndrome. Get used to it.

  • robert108

The left doesn’t have a platform though except tax the rich and redistribute wealth…

Well, there’s one about putting all business under govt control…

  • robert108

P: Here’s the difference: what we say about Clinton is true; what you say about President Bush is false.

  • Bat One

No need to be concerned. The next edition of Clinton is already up to her ankles in finance and fund raising scandals.

Those of us on/in the Right will have plenty of ammunition, and targets, for a long, long time to come.

ews48 – Oh, by the way, have you seen that most of the FBI identified highjackers on the planes have turned up alive and well? Allah must have saved them.

Get with the times you fool.

“An operation of that magnitude would require several hundred associate monsters to pull off. Does anyone out there honestly think that that many people could keep that kind of secret for more than an extended lunch hour?”

Just checking NYC’s skyline, apparently they did. Oh, by the way, have you seen that most of the FBI identified highjackers on the planes have turned up alive and well? Allah must have saved them.

“They also seem to think that he has somehow taken away personal rights and freedoms”

It appears that the so called “Patriot Act” does just that and led to some “illegal spying”.

“Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security, will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.” – Benjamin Franklin

“He that would make his own liberty secure must guard even his enemy from oppression, for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.” -Thomas Payne

“There are no hereditary Kings in America and no power not created by the Constitution.”
    -Judge Anna Diggs Taylor

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

  • robert108

ews: I do find it hilarious when those who would destroy America cherry-pick from the Constitution to advance their hatred of the President.
You also quote the President when you can twist his words to advance your agenda. Hypocrite.

  • docdave

Apparently mass insanity is possible. One proof is the mass hatred against the Jews instigated by the Nazis and now continued by the muslims. But even that is not directed against one particular person like president Bush so maybe BDS is a new form of mass insanity.

  • Pilgrim

    ews….

You really need to stop putting those plastic dry cleaner bags over your head for extended periods of time. They are NOT magic thinking hoods, no matter what you’ve been told.

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

Just checking NYC’s skyline, apparently they did.

Note to self: send ews48 more tinfoil hats!

  • Puzzlefeet

Nah, actually Bush will be around as long as you righties have been using Clinton. hmm…….

  • Bat One

Anyone so blithely simple-minded to publicly quote Judge Anna Taylor Diggs, much less on any topic related to federal jurisprudence or political philosophy, ought to have his keyboard taken away… at least until he successfully passes his GED.

  • Bat One

    Puzzle,

Must have been all that illicit campaign cash pouring in from Salt Lake City, huh?

I had noticed, however, that Mr. Romney probably has the very best team of domestic and financial policy advisors, including Hubbard, Kessler, and Cogan. Blows the socks off anything the Dems can offer.

(Whoops… my apologies. I wasn’t going to do any more crass, under-handed references to the disreputable White House antics of Democrat Bill Clinton!)

  • robert108

    ews: Explain Flight 93.

  • http://ndgoon.blogspot.com/ goon

That is the only platform the left has though, get Bush, Bush Lied people died. The left is fixated on Bush and Rove… The left doesn’t have a platform though except tax the rich and redistribute wealth…

Good point, but I do like this one:

    ews: Explain Flight 93.

I thought we already explain that by way of Tillman. You guys still clinging to your modern ‘jesuses’?
