What Tough Economic Times? A Four Day Obama Inauguration Package Is A Bargain At $50,000

Unemployment is up. The stock market is on a roller coaster. Congress is snow blowing money at beleaguered corporate giants. But forget about all that. You need to get yourself a $50,000 ticket to Obama’s inauguration.

WASHINGTON – The inauguration committee of President-elect Barack Obama, who ran on a platform to change the way business is done in Washington, is selling four-day packages of four tickets to his historic swearing-in ceremony and parade plus some extras in exchange for $50,000. . . .
On Friday, members of the Obama National Finance Committee were spreading the word about their package to friends and associates around the country.
“We’ve been waiting for this day for eight years,” crowed committee member Michael Caplin, when contacted by The Associated Press about the offer he was e-mailing to friends and associates.

If Obama gets his tax-and-spend agenda passed these people may regret dropping 50k on a parade and a swearing in ceremony.

As long as it’s going into local businesses, then great. If someone wants to blow that kind of dough to see ANY pres. sworn in, more power to them. I have a feeling they will show a good bit of it on t.v., so I don’t think you have to stand out in the freezing cold and ginormous crowds to see it. Plus, better pray it doesn’t rain, they aren’t letting in any umbrellas. I think they should move that crap to either March or September, much nicer weather.

People pay $300 for Miley Cyrus tickets. In fact, a family is renting their property in Virginia at a price of $50,000.00 a day. Many groups have called and expressed interest. To waste one’s money is a basic human right, is it not? Quit blaming Obama for the greedy entrepreneurs who will do anything to make a fast buck. I am sure if it was McCain, you would be singing a different tune.

Well, Obama’s tax hikes are a bit more than 4%. He wants to double the capital gains tax, for instance.

But let’s not pretend like that’s the only impact such tax hikes have. Raising taxes stifles investment and slows economic activity. If we’re paying more in taxes we’re spending less on creating jobs and wealth for our fellow citizens.

That means less income and more unemployment.
