What The Media Won’t Be Telling You About All Those Anti-War Protesters This Weekend

So there’s a big anti-war protest scheduled for the mall in Washington D.C. today with luminaries like Susan Sarandon and Traitor Jane Fonda showing up to tell Congress to “bring the troops home.” The gathering is being organized by United for Peace and Justice.
The gathering will no doubt get some slavering, completely uncritical coverage from the media.
Things that won’t get mentioned by the media? How about the fact that one of the co-sponsors of the protest is a group that believes 9/11 was a government plot?
How about the fact that United for Peace and Justice counts among its several member organizations several apologist groups for communists and socialists? Like the International Socialist Organization and Socialist Party USA?
How about the fact that one of UPJ’s member groups, the International Solidarity Movement, has had volunteers act as human shields to protect Yasser Arafat’s compound and receives funding from the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, a terrorist group according to the U.S. State Department.
How about the fact that the same folks who started United for Peace and Justice to oppose the invasion of Iraq had previously formed other groups to oppose the invasion of Afghanistan? That’s right, these same people marching in the streets to oppose the war in Iraq also opposed the invasion of Afghanistan to go after bin Laden.
Isn’t all this something the American people should know when they hear about these protest? That the organizers couldn’t even bring themselves to support the invasion of Afghanistan? That the member groups of this protest receive funding from Islamic extremists?
The impression we’ll all get from the media about these protests is that they’re groups of average Americans expressing their dissent over the world. The reality, though, is that this protest is a gathering of political radicals who whitewash the atrocities committed by Islamic zealots, espouse the teachings of Karl Marx and Chairman Mao and are so knee-jerk against any use of the U.S. military to protect ourselves and our interests that their opinions on the war in Iraq are hardly worth considering.
I mean, Jane Fonda of all people is headlining this protest. The same Jane Fonda who went to Vietnam and posed for pictures on an anti-aircraft gun that was used to shoot down Americans and participated in Communist propaganda radio broadcasts railing against American forces in Vietnam. The way Fonda and the other attendees of these protests talk today not much has changed since Vietnam. To them, everything is the fault of American aggression. None of them would be holding protests, or even talking much, about the massacres Saddam would still be committing in Iraq had we not invaded. That death and carnage wouldn’t matter to them. But now that our troops have toppled Saddam and are fighting to defend Iraq’s new democratic government against extremist tyrants they’ve got a problem.
Make sense to you? It doesn’t to me. But that’s how crazy these people are.
But don’t expect to get that reality from the media.

In fact, feelings are the major unifying characteristic among contemporary liberal positions.

Aside from reliance on feelings, how else can one explain a person who believes, let alone proudly announces on a bumper sticker, that “War is not the answer?

I know of no comparable conservative bumper sticker that is so demonstrably false and morally ignorant.

Almost every great evil has been solved by war — from slavery in America to the Holocaust in Europe.

Auschwitz was liberated by soldiers making war, not by pacifists who would have allowed the Nazis to murder every Jew in Europe.

Very sad, Hannah. Now what was the reason that your son joined the military? And did he not expect to go into harms way?

Since the Democrats now hold the purse strings for Iraqi funding, perhaps instead of marching you could explain all this to your representative and/or senator cause I doubt that the anti-war people you marched with have the capability much less the interest to give you and your son any relief.

Ben, like most lefties, you assume that your biases are gospel, and then to give your arguments weight you fabricate or distort. For example, Clintons demise was lying to a grand jury. He could have been lying about almost anything, and still have been indicted and prosecuted.

As far as Bush goes. since you are so certain that he lied to start the Iraq war, which I don’t believe he did but if he did would still not be a prosecutable offense since politicians embellish the truth all the time, tell me what law he broke that would be worthy of an indictement much less an impeachment.

One point you missed was the incarceration of muslims in our country and others as well to eliminate potential 5th column activities. That worked with the Japanese in WWII.

Clinton wasn’t impeached for “lying about a blow job”. He was impeached for lying under oath in court(Libby is being prosecuted for much less) and for suborning perjury(getting Monica to lie for him). Of course, he should have been impeached for his more serious crimes, but none of this has anything at all to do with President Bush, who has had the courage to stand up to the terrorists, something Clinton conspicuously lacked.

Ben, you could be decidedly more rational if you’d turn your rhetoric down to a low roar. All I ask you was name the indictable offense that could get Bush impeached.

You make the same mistake that other fire-breathing radicals make at this blog assuming that anyone that is not a crazed liberal is Republican and for Bush. Personally, I had voted liberarian for many years until the party became to liberal for my tastes. The main reason that I am not considering voting for the liberal democrats is because they are generally anti-capitalist, pro-socialist/communist and anti-American. I mean how do you vote for someone that denegrates their country in the presence of the enemy?

As far as Islam and Mohammed is concerned, I don’t think you will find any supporters amoung the regulars that post here. I have posted several articles myself always critical of the ‘religion of peace’.

So regardless of how the war was initiated, was Iraq a mistake. This is really a historical question which will be answered in later years. In my opinion, the Iraq invasion did the following
1) disposed of a tyrannical ruler which not a bad thing.
2) eliminated one of the sources of revenue for the al Queda and other terrorist organizations.
3) split the Arab league solidarity geographically and politicallly.
4) consolidated the terrorist activity in one locale.
5) took the war to the enemy
How all this ends is still up for grabs. I perdict that the outcome will be quite undesirable if we ‘cut and run’

Well if we are willing to ‘do what it takes’ to ‘secure’ Iraq then I would think staying might be reasonable. But this half ass mamby pamby fighting with one hand tied behind your back so I can pass the war on to the next president must end.

So here is what we could do.

Make Iraq the model for ‘security’ for the whole world to see by using our technological advantage for all it’s worth. For example, have you heard about the ray gun that makes people run away??? Well use that damn thing on the entire country.

We also possibly do some/all of the following:

Put a bullet in Al Sadr’s head.

Win the PROPAGANDA WAR by discussing the REAL ISLAM.

Use Iraqi oil money to construct a wall around the entire border of Iraq manned with video-camera guided machine guns to prevent the entry of foreign aid/soldiers from Syria/Iran/etc. Pay fat lazy hacker kids at home in America to man the guns! Also build same wall along entire Iraqi oil pipeline to secure the flow of oil. Also install video camera guided machine guns at all major intersections to prevent randon IED’s.

Once they are all in submission slowly release the ones into society who can function as normal productive members of that society. Give them lots of food, video games, and leisurely activities. Once they get a taste of the American lifestyle there is NO HOPE FOR ISLAM!

Cut a deal with Russia and China….We dealt with Iraq so they can deal with Iran!

Of course, we would also need psychiatric deprogramming for all Iraqis who follow religions that tell them to kill non-believers in said religion.

After wall around entire Iraq border is built then create a single internet based monetary system in Iraq so all financial transactions are traceable. Once an IED goes off the component parts will be traceable back to the purchaser i.e. terrorist cell is busted!

Implant terrorist pow’s in Gitmo with gps chips then set them free in their homeland. If they again commit act of terror you have permanet record of every place they have been i.e. another terrorist

This is a different kind of war. The only way to win it is by unconventional means and that is the REALITY of the situation! So if we aren’t willing to do those type of things we should leave Iraq TOMORROW!
