What North Dakota Progressives Really Think

I’m a little behind on this, but apparently Brad Mills, chairman of South Central Citizen’s Coalition which is in turn an off-shoot of the North Dakota Progressive Coalition, thinks North Dakota culture “is racist, bigoted, repressive, backwards and ultraconservative to the point to where it makes most moderate and liberal people just want to get the hell out of here as soon as they possibly can.”
One can only hope that Mr. Mills will be one of the people who “get the hell out” pretty soon.
This reminds me of the time Ryan Gustafson, Democrat state legislative candidate for District 35 and erstwhile communications director for the North Dakota Progressive Coalition, compared being pro-life (which the vast majority of North Dakotans are) to being a member of the Taliban.
No wonder North Dakota Democrats can’t do anything but remain in the minority.

The GOP’s saving grace this year may be the fact the Dems can’t get their act together,

Dave, all pro-lifers want to "force" other people to follow pro-life views.

I think you’re making a bit of an overgeneralization. It’s like saying all vegans want to force other people to follow their animal welfare views. They may want people to follow them, but a lot would probably draw the line at governmental "force." Not all pro-life people want the government to intervene.

According to the "ND Progressives" anyone that doesn’t want people to kill children is forcing their values on everyone.

His post was on the SD legislators who did, in fact, legislate (force) their values about abortion on everyone (in South Dakota).

Thats what I meant.  The Dems in this state are utterly clueless.  Nationally they arent far behind.

It’s a good thing people still vote for the R because their parents and grandparents did, and nothing else, in ND or there may be serious races to deal with.

Well if you are Pro-life you don’t want to kill children and you don’t want anyone else too.  According to the "ND Progressives" anyone that doesn’t want people to kill children is forcing their values on everyone.

No, he actually compared people who force others to follow their pro-life views to the Taliban, at least according to the link you’ve provided.

Dave, all pro-lifers want to "force" other people to follow pro-life views.  Just like we want people to follow laws against murder.

Got it?  Well, probably not.  But whatever.

Free, I think the state GOP has actually performed quite well.  I doubt if any of the national GOP problems are going to have much of an impact on local ND elections.
