Vultures

Ugh...

obv_rev.gif

NEW YORK, Tuesday, 8:55 AM -- Today, history is being made! To mark the fifth anniversary of September 11th, National Collector’s Mint is releasing a double-dated World Trade Center Commemorative. This groundbreaking non-monetary issue will never be released for circulation. Now, it is available through this special private minting for collectors only!

Yay! Let's celebrate the beginning of the war on terror with meaningless merchandising!

These commemoratives may well be among the most historically meaningful collectibles you will ever own.

Be sure to ring in the 9/11 holiday by getting one for your friend or loved one today! On sale now for an ultra low price of $29.95!

Sarcasm aside, this makes me a bit green around the gills. I'm a staunch capitalist and love America's entrepreneurial spirit, but screw these people. They make me sick.

You want to commemorate 9/11? Go listen to this and this, and then never forget why we're fighting against the Islamic monsters.

But rob, did you know that the silver part folds out so that it “stands” up when the coin is flat??  /sarc

i have to agree with you.  Ugh.  Celebrate that heinous act of terrorism by buying these “coins”???

Rob: The only thing worse than bad taste in marketing is prior restraint.  The cure is worse than the disease.  The market takes care of this kind of thing.

If govt control of the economy were the way to go, the Soviet Union would be the richest, most powerful nation in the history of the world.

Thanks to Obama, America remains the only country where it is illegal to drill our own oil!

Robert, wasn’t saying these people should be prevented from doing what they’re doing.  Just criticizing is all.

The purpose of government shouldn’t be to do good, but simply to refrain from doing evil.

I get it.  I just hope their little enterprise is as successful as the Edsel; or New Coke.

Be thankful they’re not selling
the bones of the martyrs.

Not in the open market, at any rate.  I wouldn’t put it past the oil sheiks, though.  Probably quite the trophy item.
