Vote Early

For North Dakotans, the election is already here if you’re of a mind to vote early.  As the state Democrats point out on their blog, North Dakota state law requires that absentee ballots be available 40 days before the election, which means that ballots should have been available at your local county auditor’s office as of yesterday.

You can stop by there, or just download a request for an absentee via mail by clicking here.

Vote early.

and as they say if you’re a democrat....

vote often.

40 days of voting x 5,000 democrats = 200,000 votes.
Oooh.  Republicans could be in trouble.

North Dakota voting law:
If a person offering to vote does not have or cannot show one of the approved forms of identification, the offeror may still vote if 1) A pollworker knows the offeror and is willing to vouch for the offeror’s identity and eligibility to vote in that precinct; OR 2) If the offeror fills out and signs a voter’s affidavit in the presence of the Inspector of the election board.

In other words, no voter ID is necessary in North Dakota.

Minnesota & Wisconsin have both had voter ID defeats - Minnesota’s was due to a democratically controlled senate, Wisconsin’s IS due to the current democrat Governor ---something we’re hoping to change this fall.  There are some pretty awful smear campaigns going on in Wisconsin right now - especially in the Governors race.  If Doyle wins - it won’t be due to the legitimate voting laws of Wisconsin.
