I thought it was very clever of the individual to emphasize the failure of Keynesian economics, when coupled with massive tax increases, while at the same time ignoring the massive government stimulus which occurred after the US entered WWII, and got us out of the great depression.
The difference between the stimulus package that got us out of the great depression, and the previous packages was the magnitude of the government spending, without the tax increases, after which we entered into the greatest boom period ever.
I really think you need to get your facts straight before promoting such propaganda, designed to distort the facts, and to promote a philosophy that is not in the best interest of everyone in the country, but designed to benefit only a select few.
Obama is a lot smarter than Herbert Hoover, and most conservatives, and would not repeat the same mistakes of the past. I don’t know if you’ve heard, but he is proposing a net tax decrease.
One problem we are presented with this time around, is what enabled us to emerge from the great depression, was our large manufacturing base. Unfortunately that has been largely shipped overseas, and may be decimated even more if Republicans and other conservatives get there way, and the big 3 automakers are allowed to disappear.
