VIDEO: Remember When Kent Conrad Was Against Using Reconciliation For Health Care Bills In 2001?
I’ve posted a number of times about Senator Kent Conrad’s broken promises to oppose the use of budget reconciliation to pass a health care bill.
Conrad’s deceptions have been pretty blatant, but they’re all the more foul when compared to this impassioned speech he made in 2001 against using reconciliation to pass government health care.
For the record, the “massive” health care bill that Senator Conrad is ranting about here would have cost $138 billion. That’s compared to the $871 billion bill currently passed by the Senate.
So, maybe Senator Conrad should explain to his constituents (who by the way oppose the health care bill by a roughly 2/3′s margin) what has changed. Tags: Asshats, North Dakota News, Politics
