Video Of McCain/Micahel Ware Press Conference In Baghdad Comes Out

Via Raw Story:

The folks at Raw Story, a far-left news site if there ever was one, claim that this video settles the controversy surrounding the allegations about Ware heckling McCain which Drudge broke over the weekend (which Ware responded to here). Frankly, I don’t see how this settles the matter at all.
First, Ware isn’t visible throughout most of the video. The camera is focused on the podium or specifically on whatever journalist is asking a question, and there is no microphone covering the audience’s reactions.
Second, even when Ware is visible it’s from the back. His facial expressions can’t be seen.
Third, Ware is seen to begin asking a question at the end of the press conference just as the video ended. We don’t know what happens after that.
Fourth, the sheer hostility between these reporters and the folks answering questions at the podium tells us all we need to know about the position they’re taking as to this war. They’re combative, sarcastic and clearly not objective in this matter even a little bit. Most of them are not journalists so much as activists there to challenge people they don’t like and disagree with them. If anything this video upholds the idea of a biased, hostile-to-American-foreign-policy media in Iraq, even if Ware’s antics aren’t specifically documented.

My first thought was the same …there is definite hostility during this conference. The video did not allow us to view or clearly hear anything that may have been said by Ware. Personally, from his actions during the conference I felt he was expressing rudeness of some kind. I am curious as to why the video cuts off of Ware, when he obviously becomes irritated, and goes to a close up at the podium. If Ware honestly didn’t do what he was accused of doing then I guess with the table turned he now knows what false reporting can cause.

Regardless of Michael Ware’s bad behavior, what outraged me was so-called Republican, John McCain, mocking our president and vice-president.
Just what kind of message does he think he is sending to the terrorists when he refers to the president’s “Mission Accomplished” message to the nation in 2003? Equally disturbing is his reference to “last throes” – made by our vice-president a few years ago. Count me as one who certainly won’t be voting for McCain.
