One almost gets the idea that actually showing up for this kind of stuff isn’t terribly important for him.


Oh, and by the way, Obama is also the chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe. A committee Obama has never convened even once since being in the Senate.

    This is usual behavior for three-fourths of the Senators. Only the highest profile hearings guaranteed to be covered by the media will get punctual attendance by a majority of the Senators. The perfunctory apologies are standard issue, too.

    We need to start term limiting these people they have one job to do and that is legislate and vote.
