Video: North Dakota Oil Worker Awarded Medal Of Honor

I wrote last week about Army Staff Sgt. Clinton Romesha, currently an oil worker in North Dakota’s Bakken formation, being awarded the Medal of Honor. Romesha is getting his award from President Obama today.

You can watch the video here:

North Dakota’s congressional delegation also paid tribute to Romesha. Here’s Senator Heidi Heitkamp:

Senator John Hoeven:

Congressman Kevin Cramer:

If you’re interested, CNN reporter Jake Tapper has an excellent book out about Romesha and Compound Outpost Keating called The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor.

He is a humble warrior and hero who simply believes he was just doing his job along with the help of his comrades and now has returned home to work to provide for his family. He is a shining example for each of us.

Shortly after I read about this, I read of the Seal who actually killed Bin Lauden, he is now out the military and jobless. He is worried about his personal safety since Biden blabbed out who was responsible for taking Bin Lauden out and the Government is doing diddly squat for him. Our veterans need and deserve better than this.

Has anyone seen evidence he was killed last year, or is that still classified? I bet he was killed 11-1/2 years ago in the mountains of Afghanistan. Or you can believe he just kept getting away when they told us we had him pinned down and were closing in all those times. Only Chuck Norris, or possibly Jack Bauer, could slip past all those satellites and aircraft that were recording video of everything.

At first I thought it was strange that once they confirmed that it was he, the evidence was thrown overboard at sea. Hadn’t thought much of it till you brought it up. They should have done what they did with Jesse James several years ago. Bring him on tour across the states for all to see

Like they did in Iraq with Uday and Qusay so the Iraqi people had no doubts they were dead.

    Same as it ever was.

an’ “Chuck him out, the brute!”

Did you notice that President Obama failed to say these brave troops were fighting for the rights of others? I didn’t! Correct me if I’m wrong. Any woman’s liber out there the wants to comment on the treatment of women in Afghanistan and Iraq? Any women that want to talk Sharia Law or honor killings..forced dress apparel?

I’m open to discussing these elements the Troops thought they were fighting for before President Obama sealed the lips of our troops concerning speaking out against seeing a boy being raped by a man or a girl being raped or beaten by a man or group of men. The troops are threatened with court martial proceedings if they do!

What say ye women’s libers rights advocates?

It certainly has not been blood for oil! And we now know that the pentagon doesn’t even know how much oil our military is using that comes from Iran. Huh?

Kudos to the oil worker! He and his troops have gone where most progressives would rather talk about but not be involved. They all deserve way more respect than the public or the MSM has given them! Of course Hillary is an exception to the rule..she goes and dodges imaginary bullets

They get to serve 8 tours, get their brains fried by modern warfare, then come home to find out the government thinks they may be a terrorist threat, get diagnosed with PTSD and lose their 2nd Amendment, then get their benefits cut. 22 veterans and active duty military kill themselves everyday. Let’s bring them all home where they belong.

This is a major accomplishment, and I for one am very proud to have a true HERO living a few blocks from me. I know many people will attempt to turn this into some sort of of a political comment, but we should all come together and congratulate Staff Sgt. Clinton Romesha for this honor, and thank him, and all of those who serve our country for their amazing dedication.
