Video: Heidi Heitkamp Ducks Questions About “Obama Is Awesome” Video

Yesterday we poked some fun at Heidi Heitkamp and North Dakota Democrats for threatening legal action against anyone who dared post video online of the liberal Senate candidate saying, in 2008, that she thought Barack Obama was going to be “awesome” as President.
Since Democrats won’t let us see the real video, we re-enacted the moment. With Barbie dolls.
Today, though, comes this video of the real Heidi Heitkamp (on her way into and out of a big-money fundraiser with Washington DC lobbyists) being asked why the video was disappeared from the internet, as well as whether or not she still thinks Obamacare was a “legacy vote.” Her answer? A brusque brush-off.
A bit of an ambush? Maybe, but then this wouldn’t be an issue if Heitkamp would just treat her past statements honestly. Rather than trying to censor her past comments about Obama, and run from her supportive comments from Obamacare, she should explain them.
Too bad Heitkamp can’t be honest with North Dakotans about her record.
