This priest’s unscriptural teachin was directed to Christians and in their case, while all sins are forgiven in Christ, we are not allowed to steal at all, for any cause. We are to trust the Lord Who promises to feed and clothe His children and can either heal directly through prayer or by bringing medical care to that child.

Yet, I recall a movie (Shoes of the Fisherman) with Anthony Quinn about his being a Russian Bishop that was elevated to Pope. Before his election as the Pope, he confessed that while in prison in Russia, he stole bread to feed a starving man and his feeling anger that made him feel like he could murder. So, each Christian man works out such extreme circumstances with the Lord and yet, for the true Christian, even the character in this movie, stealing was still a sin.
