Under The Bus: Democrat Says It Was Holder’s Decision To Put Terrorists On Trial In New York

The decision to try 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed in a civilian court in New York is not sitting well with the public at large. But from the very moment this decision was announced Obama has distanced himself from it, saying that Attorney General Eric Holder was handling it.
And now we know why. If this decision proves too politically inconvenient, Holder’s going under the bus. And from the sounds of this, it sounds like they’re warming up the buses now:

That’s because nobody watches FOX business news. If they want real information they watch CNBC.

Home to Steve Liesman, Michelle Caruso-Cabrerra, Dennis Neil, Larry Kudlow, the delicious Erin Burnette, and father of the TEA parties, Rick Santelli… devout free market capitalists all!

  • lock’em’up

Funny, Fox has to interview itself.

Chris Wallace came up with a great new slogan for Fox “news”. We might not be right, but we’re not in doubt.

  • sayanything-9974

Holder doesn’t have the authority to make that decision – Regardless of what the administration pronounces. The only one with the authority to transfer authority from military to civilian is the Presisident of the United States of America –
Better known as the Lying Ditherer in Chief – Barack Hussein Obama.
This is all part of the scam to protect the “ONE” in an attempt to give plausible deniability.

  • sayanything-15427

Again Hannitized and DINO miss the point completely.

According to our own laws, if you are tried in a civilian court the arresting person(s) are required to read you your rights (Miranda). Failing to do so makes anything gained after the arrest because of something the person says inadmissable.

Loosing all the evidence, possibly including his admission and request to be executed means he MUST GO FREE!

Not letting him go free shows that our justice system has been completely compromised.

That does not even touch the Venue issues or the “Torture” issues.

The only way KSM can be convicted and have it stick is if he Claims he is guilty when asked at the start of the trial. In which case there should not be any hoopla to go along with this trial.

But Holder/Obama probably wouldn’t allow that, they want to expose everything that was done in the last several years to capture terrorists and gain information. Of course Obama has the power to make all of those classified documents available now but he knows what the backlash would be. Thus he hides behind a show trial.

Any attempt to rationalize this trial any other way are simply you choosing to remain stupid.

Unlike the DOJ under the thumb of the our last President, worst President in American history, the DOJ is suppose to a separate and independent agency. Not accountable to the executive.

B O, is that the same Marc Rich whose attorney was Scooter Libby?

  • sayanything-203

Yep, the very same Marc Rich. But the last time I checked, even convicted felons have a right to legal representation. Libby did nothing wrong in representing his client, Rich. Holder, OTOH, violated federal law and DoJ regulations in back-dooring the Rich pardon.

  • sayanything-203

There are plenty of generals and commanders who admit that both GITMO and water-boarding have hurt our ability to fight and win this war on terror.

    H,

I suppose its marginally possible that you are right, though your penchant for belligerent hyperbole makes quite nearly everything you post more than a little suspect.

But unless all those “generals and commanders”, and you, have access to the intelligence garnered by waterboarding KSM and the other two “high value al-Qaeda detainees” neither you nor those “generals and commanders” have the faintest idea what you’re talking about, nor are any of you in a position to offer a cogent, thoughtful, and thoroughly considered, and realistic assessment of the value of those interrogations.

Your indignation, or that of all those “generals and commanders” is no substitute for usable intelligence, tactical and strategic. And unless you or they can demonstrate that you are privy to that intelligence, and the actions taken because of it, and the success of those actions, your opinions really aren’t worth very much, are they?

    Hannitized the Moron:

Mighty ironic coming from a coward who is afraid of our legal system being able to get a conviction on a terrorist.

    That’s rich.

Hannitized doesn’t know the difference between fear and contempt for f*cking stupid ideas dreamed up by Obomb’s administration.

  • sayanything-12

The worst president in history is Jimmy Carter, but Obama is breaking new ground so that may not hold up.

I would take George Bush back in a Mississippi minute over this a$$ clown you keep salivating over.

BTW, I am looking for hijacking topics for RBBs posts. One good deed deserves another.

    Ideas?

“That’s because nobody watches FOX business news. If they want real information they watch CNBC.”

This is coming from a little turd who openly hates business enterprise.

LOL at the KING of the AssClowns

  • Hanni

The fact that twerps on the Left get your thongs athwart calling the practice “torture” doesn’t concern us in the least.

That’s why you have nothing in common with David Patreaus. It’s why your over the top machismo attitude is not really anything to take seriously, or worthwhile commentary.

  • sayanything-12

    Who gives a fruck?

    You are nothing.

  • sayanything-1714

Maybe they rely so much on Bushco pals getting exonerated they think all criminals and even terrorists will go free?

Quite telling, the confidence they don’t have in their own country.

  • sayanything-51

That is rich, coming from a rube like you rube.
    Rich indeed.

Don’t you have an ACORN conspiracy piece about NY23 to work on?

    Dino Dog Vomit:

    Then shoot yourself, dog vomit.

You are the worst example of a human being that I know.

  • sayanything-203

The reason why so many Cons are angry about this is because they are afraid we will find out they tortured KSM.

Once again, H, you show up at the field of battle late… and unarmed too. As has already been explained many times, most recently by Sir Gareth, those of us on/in the Right applaud the fact that KSM was subjected to waterboarding… a fact which has been public knowledge for months now. Which makes your state just so much more self-congratulatory drivel.

The fact that twerps on the Left get your thongs athwart calling the practice “torture” doesn’t concern us in the least. Many of us, myself included, have been through this in various military interrogation resistance training courses, such as SERE. We know it works.

As for KSM, I favor removing assorted body parts with a rusty K-Bar, so your indignation about his treatment really doesn’t amount to much.

‘Course I don’t play golf with make-believe admirals either.

  • sayanything-1714

The reason why so many Cons are angry about this is because they are afraid we will find out they tortured KSM. That information would be held in a Military Tribunal.

  • sayanything-203

    Randy-G,

You’re right, of course. As is former AG Ashcroft.

But rules and proper procedures, as we all know, are beneath the leftwing fascists and their supporters who call themselves Democrats.

  • Hanni

Again Hannitized and DINO miss the point completely.

According to our own laws, if you are tried in a civilian court the arresting person(s) are required to read you your rights (Miranda). Failing to do so makes anything gained after the arrest because of something the person says inadmissable.

If you think that is a valid point in the case of these hand selected terrorists you are woefully uniformed. Why do you think it is they were selected for civilian court because we think we could have a better chance of convicting them in civilian court if we didn’t read them their miranda rights?

Do you even know the answer to that question? Or, do you just throw objections out there because you think they sound good?

  • Hanni

There are plenty of generals and commanders who admit that both GITMO and water-boarding have hurt our ability to fight and win this war on terror.

It’s really amazing to me that you are so committed to your out of touch grasp of the challenges our commanders are facing in these wars.

  • sayanything-12

Pretty awful record isn’t it? It’s amazing how quickly Obama has made that look like the work of a sheer genius.

  • sayanything-203

    Carrick,

H resorts to name-calling and other belligerent personal invective when he is overwhelmed by his opponent(s) and at a loss for anything rational, pertinent, or plausible to offer in defense. It happens often.

I’m used to it, and stopped taking his silly insults seriously long ago. In a way, when he resorts to this sort of childishness its really just an acknowledgment of the inferiority of his ideas. He just hasn’t learned yet how to be graceful in surrender.

  • sayanything-203

One does not tolerate the worst in human behavior. Or cockroaches.

Nonsense! If that were so, you would have been banned from SAB, and civilized society, long ago.

  • sayanything-203

Mighty ironic coming from a coward who is afraid of our legal system being able to get a conviction on a terrorist.

Coward? Do you have any factual basis for this latest bit of infantile ad hominem? I understand only too well that name-calling is about all you’ve got to offer in any sort of sensible discussion… your cognitive constipation being congenital and apparently irreversible..

And how does this relate to the subject of legal representation, anyway? If you’re looking to try and pick yet another rhetorical fight with me (masochist?), why not just come right out and say so?

That would be the non- cowardly thing to do!

  • sayanything-203

If this decision proves too politically inconvenient, Holder’s going under the bus.

No one would seriously miss Eric Holder if he was no longer Attorney General. He’s not qualified for the position in the first place. Prior to this gig, the only thing he ever did that was noteworthy was to act as bagman for Bill Clinton’s illicit pardon of convicted tax cheat, fraudster, and Saddam oil front man, Marc Rich.

  • sayanything-9974

In a perfect world you would find your opposite – the two of you could kill eachother and everyone would be happy.

  • sayanything-1714

But the last time I checked, even convicted felons have a right to legal representation.

Mighty ironic coming from a coward who is afraid of our legal system being able to get a conviction on a terrorist.

Still, nobody watches FOX business news. They watch FOX for biased, red meat bullsh*t news.

    You guys crack me up.

  • sayanything-6955

John Ashcroft said recently, The AG does not have the authority to move these thugs to federal court. That decision had to come from Obama, as the Potus is the only one who can tell Sec of Def. Gates, or the AG how to handle this.

  • sayanything-4416

I openly hate conservatives and their business enterprise.

  • sayanything-4416

Yeah Carrick. Maybe bush would be able to rescue us from this mess. After all, it only took him 6 years to double the debt and preside over the meltdown in the first place.

  • sayanything-1317

If you think that is a valid point in the case of these hand selected terrorists you are woefully uniformed. Why do you think it is they were selected for civilian court because we think we could have a better chance of convicting them in civilian court if we didn’t read them their miranda rights?

Do you even know the answer to that question? Or, do you just throw objections out there because you think they sound good?

It’s hard to tell what the point behind that was, as that’s not really a logical coherent thought.

If you have a reason why normal court procedures won’t hinder us in these convictions…please present it. Otherwize acknowledge that this is a stupid idea and you’re just being a distraction from the point.

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

Yeah, the DOJ is so totally independent under Obama that the Black Panthers
guilty of voter intimidation in Pennsylvania didn’t get convicted.

And what do you think will happen with ACORN? Nothing.

Independent. Objective. Boob doesn’t know what these words mean.

That’s all very true. Prisoner of war tribunals, and even some military trials are not run by civilian standards. Because the same rules don’t apply. You don’t mirandize war criminals and enemy combatants.
