Uh Oh: Whistleblower Obama Fired Had Uncovered Pay-Offs For Sexual Abuse Involving Supporter

Last night I posted about a report indicating that the Obama administration had “scrambled” to find a reason to fire government inspector Gerald Walpin after they’d fired him for uncovering scandal and corruption involving Americorps and Obama supporter (and former NBA star) Kevin Johnson.
Today comes more news about the uncovered scandal, including pay-offs with tax dollars to underage girls Johnson had either had sex with or had propositioned for sex.

Sexual abuse accusations by St. HOPE Academy students against Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson were apparently covered up, possibly with “hush money,” according to a 61-page report issued by congressional investigators.
Failure of school officials to report sexual abuse of minors violates California state law, investigative staff of Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) noted in their report on the June firing of AmeriCorps Inspector General Gerald Walpin.
The allegations investigated by Walpin’s office were “very serious,” Grassley said in a statement, saying that evidence indicates a political motive for the IG’s firing. “It seems a lot of people might have been interested in protecting the AmeriCorps program and the Mayor of Sacramento from an IG who was discovering some unpleasant facts.” …
Walpin pressed for criminal prosecution of Johnson, an Obama supporter. Instead, a deal that allowed the mayor to avoid prosecution and repay federal grant money was approved by Alan Solomont, a major Democratic fundraiser who is chairman of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency that oversees the AmeriCorps volunteer program.

So Johnson got caught using taxpayer dollars as hush money to keep the a sex scandal quiet. Walpin and other government investigators wanted him to be prosecuted. The Obama administration allowed the matter to be covered up, with Johnson only being required to pay back the money.
When Walpin raised a stink, he was fired with the Obama administration scrambling to justify the firing with questions about his competence.
This is ugly business. Misappropriation of public funds. Cronyism. Corruption. A cover-up. And underaged sex. And it was all covered up by the Obama administration.
Hope for change.

What the D after their name?

  • sayanything-203

    Lasko,

Exactly who was in whose face about Sandy Blunt? Got a citation to offer?

And who the hell is Sandy Blunt, anyway?

  • Lasko

Interesting that you find misappropriation of public funds deplorable and a possible crime when it involves a Democrat, but were in your face about the misppropriation of public funds by Sandy Blunt – a little hypocritical wouldn’t you say. While this is far more egrious than Blunt’s nonetheless its about public funds.

I don’t know the point of this particular blog, it seems to just be a waste of time. Fabrication by a republican as usual on any crap they can scramble together, and some Americans (the people they are) go on to believe it. Us British on the other side of the Atlantic, and in fact the rest of the world can look clearly at the situation and make a sound judgement about what constitutes the important things in the world, such as Afghanistan, Climate Change and even the Health Bill reform in your country, or whether we should focus on allegations of ‘possible corruption’.

  • HG

Climate Change? Are you serious? Is the tem ‘fraud’ in your vocabulary over there?

  • lock’em’up

“conservative social views” I see a pattern in these scandals.

  • sayanything-203

The two articles I read identified him as favoring gop.

    BULLSH*T!!!

If KJ was a Republican, Team Obama would have given Walpin a medal, a parade, and lifetime sinecure, instead of illegally firing him.

  • Wayne

Can you imagine the reaction of the MSM and the liberals, including the liberal trolls on this site, if this was done by the Bush WH instead of the Obama WH? Liberals are hypocrites.

Nice spin, but it’s positive support for real marriage. So-called “gay marriage” is anti-real marriage. Remember which one came first.

  • sayanything-4625

this has NOTHING to do with Obama

He, Obama, fired an prosecutor investigating one of his supporters and tried to cover it up. How does this have nothing to do with Obama?

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

    Huff Po and The Nation?

  • sayanything-2407

More importantly, it has nothing to do with the colour of one’s skin.

You are absolutely right Anon, so why are YOU the one bringing up the color of Obama’s skin where no one had, except for MarkSD, who stated:

Heads should roll. But since we have a black president, everything will be ok.

Which is a sad commentary for todays world, but he is probably correct, being that Obama is a democrat he will cover for other democrats until it is no longer politically expedient to do so, then the person will get thrown under the bus. The fact that Obama is black, seems to flip back to a reminder of what happened with the new black panther voter intimidation charges that got dropped.

It is ironic though, can’t mention Obama is black, and possibility of him covering up things like the new black panther party, but during the election, it was so great to tell everyone he is black, he is the first black president – and now…shhhh, can’t say he is black because it is no longer acceptable unless it is praising him and congratulating him for being the first black president. Ironic – two sides of the same coin.

  • sayanything-4625

    (Not Sarcasm) You’re welcome.

  • sayanything-4625

Nice deflection Anon! Let’s look at “possible corruption” and its effects. Climate change is being rocked by “possible corruption”. In fact the “possible corruption” we can find points to climate change being a complete hoax. I guess we should ignore the “possible corruption” so we can find a solution to Climate Change.

Now, I don’t know where you are from but when the powers that be fire a man because he is investigating the “possible corruption” of their supporters we frown on that. In fact, it undermines the rule of law and the foundations of our country. We frown on that too. Now if you have evidence that this is “crap” and an unfounded accusation feel free to present it. Feel free to read the evidence in the blog or the links. We would love you to point out how its wrong. I guess you could take the lazy way out and just pretend that its all political “crap” and “possible corruption”.

Good catch, Rob! Saw this one earlier this morning, and am glad you posted it.

  • sayanything-4625

As lock’em up should know, Democrat scandals are not limited to a social conservative dynamic. Unless you count the tax cheats or “cold cash” Jefferson as “social conservatives. Barney Frank and Chuckie would burst into flames if you implied they were conservatives.

  • sayanything-4625

Is this the republican who is now the mayor of Sac?

Informed as ever. No Bob, if he were a Republican you would be cutting and pasting articles in the readers blogs. Since he’s a Democrat you ignore it.

    http://sportsblog.projo.com/2008/11/former-hoops-st.html

Johnson, a former All-Star point guard for the Phoenix Suns, is the first black mayor of Sacramento. The 42-year-old Democrat with conservative social views defeated two-term incumbent Heather Fargo in a run-off election.

    http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5iivVzHxTOiloOf-rAjvvXOHSjtOwD9C3L42O0

Johnson, a Democrat, has campaigned on behalf of Obama and says he is a friend of the president.

  • sayanything-51

The two articles I read identified him as favoring gop.

    Thank you for clarifying something.

  • sayanything-51

Is this the republican who is now the mayor of Sac?

  • sayanything-2819

Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, heh Dino?

  • HG

    Ah, another ‘friend of Obama’.

“A man is known by the company he keeps.”

  • jdkchem

It’s nice of Barney Frank to let you up for air.

  • http://fu.com/ robert108

“Walpin pressed for criminal prosecution of Johnson, an Obama supporter.”

    Try reading with comprehension, rbb.

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

Yep. Throw them conservative Dems under the bus, lick’em’up! He should not be straying from the Democrat plantation!

  • Anon

By the way, this has NOTHING to do with Obama… however bad the action of a Democrat is, it is that person that committed it (party is irrelevant). More importantly, it has nothing to do with the colour of one’s skin.

  • MarkSD

This and the climate change scandal. How much more can they sweep under the rug without being held accountable.

Heads should roll. But since we have a black president, everything will be ok.

  • sayanything-4416

That’s what your kids will be forced to do for money now that your political ideology has destroyed their futures.

  • mplsbob

“Conservative social views”? Is that codespeak for anti gay marriage?

  • sayanything-98

They can not allow The Truth to come out. Liberals and communists can not afford to come clean with 90% of the population they intend to enslave. The Hungarians had a publication, The Truth in 1956 until the Soviets returned with tanks, murdering civilians and teenagers alike.

  • MarkSD

Dino, Dino. When your heroes go down in smoke, you will still be blaming conservatives.

    How sad!

  • sayanything-4416

Manufacturing scandal. The conservatives’ only new ideas.

As society collapses thanks to your actions, it’s your children who will be the most negatively affected.

  • sayanything-3444

Oh, but sex scandals involving democrats aren’t really scandals since everyone knows they are openly a bunch of promiscuous perverts. They are making a very serious attempt to screw every single American after all.

So, any bets on whether the MSM will even touch this story? More likely our resident lefty trolls will just chalk it up as another right-wing dominated media lie.

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

Interesting that you find misappropriation of public funds deplorable and a possible crime when it involves a Democrat, but were in your face about the misppropriation of public funds by Sandy Blunt – a little hypocritical wouldn’t you say.

Sandy Blunt used funds to buy performance perks for employees. He did this openly.

That’s not the same thing as using tax dollars as hush money for underage girls you’ve been trying to have sex with.

Blunt was persecuted and prosecuted for bad management decisions. Not for an actual crime. Which is too bad.

But hey, nice stab at changing the subject!
