Turns Out Gun Owners Aren’t So Much “Bitter” As “Happy” And “Prosperous”

So much for Barack Obama’s assertions about rural Americans clinging to their guns out of “bitterness” over a stagnating economy.  It turns out that not only are gun owners as educated as non-gun owners, they’re also more successful and happier to boot.

Obama obviously knows nothing about rural American which is the heart of the ‘real’ America.  Just another reason not to vote for him.

They’re not all happy rustics.

After adjusting for income, education, employment rates, and other factors, the most rural counties had over 1.5 times the rate of gun suicides compared to the most urban counties. At the same time, urban areas experienced almost twice the gun homicide rate of the most rural counties.
