Pope Has High Fever From Urinary Infection

VATICAN CITY – Pope John Paul II developed a high fever Thursday because of a urinary tract infection and was being treated with antibiotics at the Vatican, his spokesman said. The latest health setback for the 84-year-old pontiff came one day after he began receiving nutrition through a feeding tube.

“Pope Is Sick” or “Pope Has Fever” would have worked for me. For some reason picturing the Pope’s urinary tract gives me the heebie-jeebies.
Update:
Looks like the infection is actually pretty serious.

As someone who worked with geriatric psych patients for many years, I can tell you that UTIs are nasty. In the elderly, they can actually cause severe behavioral changes–agitation, confusion, etc.

Prayers for the Pope, and may he be spared the Michael Schiavo treatment.
