Todays Christmas Movie is “It’s A Wonderful Life”
Greatest movie ever and it stars Donna Reed and some guy. Mostly Donna Reed.
I don’t cry until Harry Baily shows up by in Bedford Falls to help his big brother.

Sat and watched the whole thing, thanks Whistler.
This is my sister’s favorite movie too. She literally has the whole movie memorized. You can mention a scene to her, and she can describe it and start right in with the dialogue, word for word.
Damn Harry Bailey anyway!
No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.
Of course, were it to be released today, you’d all be bitching about Hollywood leftists and “socialism on TV” again.
Gee, Dav, got any broader brushes to paint with? I think you missed a spot. *eyeroll*
Let’s see. The film promotes:
--family-owned small business;
--the nuclear family;
--immigrants assimilating into the community;
--the heroism of the military;
--personal responsibility;
--active and personal faith.
Not quite socialism or liberalism, no.
This is one of my favorite films ever. Thanks for sharing, Whistler.
Proof,
Your constant insistence on linguistic accuracy is pretty damn pretentious, and I’m getting sick and tired of it!
(I just thought I’d do my good buddy “H” a favor and get that out of the way on his behalf while I have a moment to spare.)
“Poverty of goods is easily cured; poverty of the mind is irreparable.”
Of course you will… just as intended.
