Thoughts On Bush Jr. And Reagan
Perhaps somebody more learned than myself has already addressed this, but doesn't what the left is doing to Bush over the war in Iraq and the fight against Islamo-fascism seem an awful like what the left did to Reagan and his fight against Russian communism and the cold war?
Of course, I wasn't old enough to appreciate Reagan's show-down with communism but from what I know of history it seems as though he had detractors almost as loud and as nasty as Bush's detractors. Ultimately, history has exonerated Reagan (at least to those of us not blinded by an overwhelming hatred of Republicans). He made the right decisions in his chess match against the communists and in the end brought about the downfall of our enemy.
Will it do the same for Bush?
