This Again?

A few days ago on Good Morning America it came to light that John Kerry may not have been entirely honest when he told America that he only threw the ribbons of his medals over the White House fence during a protest. A video interview with Kerry has been released which would seem to indicate that Kerry threw his medals over the fence. Further, eye witnesses present at the protest have said that Kerry through the actual medals over the fence. In the face of this controversy, Democrats have decided to respond by questioning yet again the military service of President Bush:

US Democrats launched an assault on President George W. Bush's military record, suggesting it was marked by privileged treatment and unanswered questions while their challenger John Kerry fought in Vietnam.

Democrats launched an assault on President George W. Bush's military record, suggesting it was marked by privileged treatment and unanswered questions while their challenger John Kerry fought in Vietnam.

The Democratic campaign issued a list of questions on Bush's record in the Texas Air National Guard a day after Kerry exploded at Republican jibes over his Vietnam war decorations and his later anti-war activities.

"If George Bush wants to ask me questions about that through his surrogates, he owes America an explanation about whether or not he showed up for duty in the National Guard," Kerry stormed in a television interview on Monday.

"Prove it. That's what we ought to have. I'm not going to stand around and let them play games," the Massachusetts senator said.

Prove it? Didn't the President already do that when he signed for a full release of his military records, something John Kerry has yet to do? Aside from inventing a time machine, what else is the President supposed to do to prove his service?

And isn't a little strange that Democrats accuse the President of not completing his military service then demand that he prove he did? Shouldn't Democrats be offering up some proof that he didn't complete his service? And isn't it a little convenient that Kerry has let on to some huge inconsistencies regarding what happened in his past and what he says happened in his past and yet the media is running with headlines like:

Democrats blast Bush military record

Why is the Democratic response to questions about Kerry's military service always to attack the President's military service? Why don't they just answer the questions about Kerry's service?

I'm tired of Kerry getting all high and mighty when somebody dares to question him. There are legitimate questions about Kerry's past that should be answered. Why did he throw his ribbons over the White House fence? Did he lie about throwing his medals over? If he threw his ribbons over the White House fence because he was ashamed of what he did in Vietnam then why is he so proud of his service in Vietnam now?

The President has done his part. He has released his military records which show that he was present for his National Guard duties. Unless Democrats have some further proof that the President wasn't there they should drop the issue and start working on some of the questions about Kerry's past.

All I hear is republicans say “support the troops” John Kerry was “a troop”? Point is while George W. was drinking through his National Guard Service,(he released dental records to prove he showed up ...2 cavities) John Kerry done 2 tours in Vietnam… won (4) awards “metals/ribbons”...(they are the same thing, you get a metal on a ribbon and a ribbon to wear on your uniform), then he came back and protested the wrongful war for the sake of the troops… so no more would die in a meanless lawless war! He followed orders in Vietnam and are ashamed of what the rules of engagement were...just like troops in Iraq are following orders but will be haunted by the fact they kill countless women and children.

Our troops are killing countless women and children?  Really?  Where’s your proof?

Also, where is your proof that Bush drank his way through his guard service?

And if ribbons and medals are the same thing then why didn’t Kerry just throw the whole thing over the fence?  It couldn’t be because he wanted to throw away his medals and keep them to, could it?  You know, so he could stay on both sides of the issue?

I am getting so tired of this.  Kerry is putting so much ugliness out there during a time when we all need to pull together for the good of the country.  I wonder why Kerry doesn’t campagin on his own merits, or are there any???
