The UAW and GM Settle Strike

Weren’t we being told this would go on for months?

DETROIT — The United Auto Workers and General Motors Corp. said Wednesday they have reached a tentative contract agreement that ends a two-day nationwide strike immediately.

A person briefed on the contract told The Associated Press earlier that the historic agreement would shift the burden of retiree health care from GM to the union and give workers bonuses and lump-sum payments. The person requested anonymity because the contract talks are private.

I guess if the trolls in the union realize that a good job is better than no job.  Unions have to realize that they are competing in the world wide market.  If they stand in the way of productivity they will fail.

Even a giant like GM has been brought nearly to it’s knees by bad unions and bad management.  The market holds everyone accountable.  Everyone that is except for government failure which is rewarded rather than punished.

sometimes union can do more harm than good to workers. workers need to realize which of their demand is reasonalble and good for the company also. if there is no company, there is no job

Yes, reality and competition form Asia sure has sobered up those corrupt union thugs.  So glad I live in a right to work state where I can work without paying tribute to Mafia types.
